How Did Fritzl Manage to Do This w/o Help or Being Noticed?

As new people begin reading this forum, one question that is often asked is how Fritzl could possibly have build the dungeon fortress that he did without help from someone else.

Also, how could Rosemarie possibly not have known something was going on? Where did those babies come from?

How did Fritzl manage to feed Elisabeth and her 3 children without being noticed? Where did the food come from? How did they eat when he took his 3 week vacation?

These are all logical questions and because there is so much information here, it takes awhile to find the answers. I thought it might be helpful to have a thread that summarizes this type of issue. If you can think of anything else, or know where the answers to the above questions are off the top of your head, please post them here. Thanks.
