Willie “Willie the Enforcer” Jessop
There is a news video, but I can't get the code to work so that I can embed it.
Willie Jessop has new role in FLDS church

COLORADO CITY, Arizona (ABC 4 News) - Since the raid by Texas authorities on the FLDS ranch, Willie Jessop has become the voice of the FLDS people. It’s assumed that Jessop is a leader, perhaps Warren Jeff’s right hand man.
Jessop is Jeff’s body guard.
“Willie was always the strong-arm man. He was the guy who would show up just to intimidate people,” said Sam Brower, a private investigator.
He is useful to FLDS leaders.
“They put him up front because he is the type that will say or do anything,” said Brower.
Ross Chatwin was one of the few who faced Jessop and refused to back down.
“When Willie gets up there and says ‘Well I don’t know of any underage marriages…’ Then that’s a big lie,” said Chatwin.
Around Colorado City, people call him “Willie the Enforcer” or “Willie the Thug.” There was a time when Jessop wasn’t so welcoming to the media.
“He does the dirty work. He’s the hatchet man,” said Brower.
When he’s not in Texas, Jessop has a house in Hildale and a ranch in the canyon gap.
At last count, Jessop had two wives, but with all of the new cabins at the ranch, it is speculated that he might have a few more.
“His role now is to put somebody out there, keep talking to the media and the public while the church leaders vanish,” said Brower.

Who is Willie Jessop?
Reported by: Brent Hunsaker
Last Update: 6/08 6:31 pm
COLORADO CITY, Arizona (ABC 4 News) - Since authorities raided the FLDS Eldorado, Texas ranch back in April, Willie Jessop has become the official pokesman for the secretive polygamist religion.
You've probably seen him on every channel and network. He is quoted in newspapers around the world.
So who is Willie Jessop? Many assume that he's an ecclesiastical leader or even Warren Jeffs' right hand man, but he is neither. Jessop is Jeffs' bodyguard.
"Willie was always the strong arm," said private investigator Sam Brower. "He was the guy who showed up just to intimidate people."
In his home community along the Utah-Arizona border, he's known as "Big Willie" or "Willie the Enforcer." To those who no longer believe in Warren Jeffs, he is known as "Willie the Thug."
He showed up at trials, including the trial of Warren Jeffs. He showed up in Eldorado following the raid. At first, he remained in the shadows. Then he started to share the microphones with Salt Lake attorney Rod Parker.
It was Jessop who announced that the FLDS church leadership was apparently ready to give up the practice of marrying underage girls, a practice that Jessop had denied any knowledge of the week before.
"The church will counsel families that they will never request nor consent to any underage marriage," said Jessop.
Ross Chatwin is a former FLDS member who grew up with Jessop and faced him down when he was kicked out of the church.
"If they say 'counsel' then they're just playing a game and they plan on continuing with underage marriage," warned Chatwin. "And it really worries me when Willie gets up there and starts saying that 'I don't know of any underage marriages.' That's an absolute lie."
"They will put him up front because he's the type of guy that will say and do anything," said Brower. He said that the real leaders of the polygamist group, Lyle Jeffs, William E. Timpson (a.k.a. Willie Jessop), Wendall Nielson and Merril Jessop, are all in hiding.
Willie has been left to be their voice to the outside world.
"His role is to be out there, keep talking to the public, keep talking to the media, while the real leaders vanish," said Brower.

Well there was apparently a hearing yesterday on the temporary injunction dealing with Jessop. The girl's lawyer was asking that her mother be required to keep her daughter away from Willie. Interestingly, the FLDS pulled out all the stops with three separate motions to disqualify the girl's attorney, an intense smear campaign in the media against the girl's attorney, two motions for continuance, a motion to recuse the judge and having several high profile attorney/spokesmen shipped in from Utah and Arizona .
Word has it the judge made it very clear the girl's attorney was doing her job exactly as she should and admonished all these other attornies to leave the girl alone. The judge apparently also recognized that the letters and such in the media and filed with the court were the result of improper influence and did not relect the girl's own preference ... seems there was evidence the girl and her attorney had a good attorney-client relationship until the church interfered and exerted pressure. In the course of the haring the girl asked repeatedly to confer with her attorney ... calling into question the legitimacy of sect claims and media reports of a dysfunctional attorney- client relationship. I'm pretty sure the powers that be witin the church were surprised and frustrated that they were not able to run off the girl's attorney despite tremendous efforts.
Makes you wonder why the sect would go to such lengths to have the girl's attorney removed and influence grand jury proceedings .....
The temporary injunction was issued as requested by the girl's attorney - there were also admonishments to the press to leave the girl alone and give her a break. Judge made it clear also that the girl's attorney was doing exactly what ad litems are supposed to do in state custody cases. Judge said she had received "several" pleadings yesterday from other attorneys purporting to represent the girl ..but the Judge was clear that such actions were improper.
I think this was a big win for that girl. Hope she continues to do well ....

Reading what was posted. Lawyers for the FLDS are going all out on this.
What remains now is to see what the grand jury does.
The other thing is the girl requested to spend the night at the ranch prior to the grand jury hearing. I'm pretty sure no one would attempt to influence her. Or would they? Risky business speaking with a grand jury witness prior to testifying I would guess
It was reported she and her mother spent the night in a local hotel. Wonder if she had any "wishing you well" phone calls
