Question for Admin/Mods
I'm confused as to the new rules and dont want banned or timed out. I'm not the only one struggling to understand so I'd like to ask.
Are we allowed to call Beth/Joran a lying sack of shit?
I see some of my posts calling Natalee 'Nat' which is what I call her have been edited..is this a no no? I'm confused as I see some edited and some not.
Are descriptive terms to degrade Joran or Beth allowed? Or is just not calling them by their names? Please Help. TIA

I don't understand either. I thought that Fash explained it pretty well but some people are still using dereogatory adjectives for people involved in the Natalee Holloway case.

I must have missed the new rules proclamation.
Have all the original rules been canned? Low moderated board; reading and being called contentious names was just part of the RU bargain as I recall.
Are we in a kindergarten bible group now... Lin, Mallory, Toodles ... happy??? Of course, your nicks for Joran are now history as well eh?

Heli I didnt make the rules, nor did I complain to have the rules made. Fash made the rules and If you have a problem you can address it to her.
I'm just asking for help understanding the rules. Its not my board so whatever rules are made isnt up to me but I do wish to understand them so I wont break them.

It is a valid question. Since it is Fash's rule, I would prefer her addressing the scope of the rule for everyone, and I am sure that she will do that when she is on the board.

I too am heartfully sorry. All I want to do is follow the rules, and not be banned or have a time out, whichever is the way one would honestly and politically respectfully say it. Actually I don't know what exactly is fair and accepted terminology on this board, I'm not even sure if it is rightfully called a "board".
The most important question on this board is "Can we call Beth or Joran a "lying sack of shit"? If not, a sack of "what"? Can we just say something like "Oh she is a sack"? Or would that be considered a breach of board rules? I really want to know, I might even start a thread asking if we can even use the word "shit", or should we say ka ka, poo poo or number 2?

No, no ... if there are issues between posters or namecalling, take it to HE. As I said, Fash will clarify when she is online. This thread is fine where it is at the moment unless it gets out of control. The rule applies obviously only to the NH forum.

TY Elaine. It was and is an honest question and I know many wonder because I've spoken in PM with some who dont fully understand either.
All I want is for it to be clear to me so I wont break any rules on purpose and be banned. I didnt think I'd be attacked for asking.
I also think Fash's rule is a good one for this board. The name calling led to arguements and I think that was the reason for the rule. I just want to understand the do's and dont's is all.
