Remembering the "Boiler Room Girls."
In case you have forgotten or never knew the details, Ted and five of his pals and six women known as the "Boiler Room Girls" who had worked in Bobby Kennedy's presidential campaign, cut short by his assassination the year before, were weekending together. Afterward, the men claimed it was just a couple of days of innocent fun to thank the girls for their help, though the six guys were all married but partying without their wives, and the young women were all single. One of the "Boiler Room Girls" is now big-time New York literary agent Esther Newberg, who was Mary Jo's roommate for the weekend. Like everyone involved in the incident, Esther remains close-mouthed about what occurred. LINK

That case reminds me very much of the Holloway case. The van der Sloot's appear to have enjoyed the same blind eye type of investigatory techniques & prosecutorial decision-making and Judicial secrecy that Senator Kennedy received oh so many years ago.
At least he spent nearly 40 years after the Kopechne incident being a champion for underprivileged and a fighter for the working man. Perhaps his conscious drove him into that direction that night?
He gave a valiant speech on the first night of the Convention. He turned his life into doing good for so many others. I wish him well.

I guess that makes HIM different than OJ?
And the VDS "compound" was so much like the "Kennedy compound?" At least that's what the corrupt media would have had us believe when they kept refering to the VDS house as a compound. They also made Joran's tiny sleeping room sound as though it was the annex at Ceasar's Palace.
Our teachers have really failed as teachers if folks think Teddie is a hero. He's far from it. Not surprising.

I didn't need my teachers to tell me that Teddy Kennedy was responsible for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. I recall watching the incident at the time. Most of the adults I knew...KNEW that he was lying, knew that he was getting special treatment and knew that it was par for the course among those circles.
But yes...that was almost 40 years ago and while he may not be a hero, he certainly has improved his life, learned from things and has been a committed public servant that has fought hard for many people thorugh legislative measures.
I don't feel that no one can ever be redeemed in life. People will always make mistakes, it is learning from those mistakes and moving forward from there that counts.
Perhaps Joran one day will turn his life around and start doing some good for people instead of his constant need to hurt both himself & others and more importantly, those people that love him the most. Anyone can make a mistake...but there comes a time to move on from that mistake..if it is thru disclosing the truth publicly, paying for what one has done or just a fresh start in life.....then choose the right path and move on. The sooner the better. Thriving on the notoriety of it all, isn't going to make anything more believable or better. JMO
