9/11/01 I WILL NEVER FORGET!
You can say that I live in the shadow of the WTC. While many of you watched the events of that day on TV, i watched everything without the aid of a TV. From the strike of the first airliner to the collapse of the second tower. The memories of that day are forever burned into my head.
Except for this post, I won't be posting here today.
Here's a very moving memorial to those who died that day.

It's one of the most beautiful tributes to the day that I've seen. I hadn't realized when I watched it before that when the song restarts it wasn't beginning the loop again and that it continues on for three or more run-throughs of the song.
God Bless America. We will never forget.

Remember 9/11
One day we may read the headline “ Al Qaeda terrorist leaders Bin Laden and Zawahiri killed in Hell fire missile strike from Predator UAV”

The U.S. is now making both such air strikes and special forces incursions into Pakistan against Al Qaeda and the Taliban. And the new Pakistani President is co-operating more now in going after the jihadis than his predecessor did. General Dave Petreaus, who has brought effective counter-insurgency tactics to our war on terrorism, will soon assume command of that theatre of operations.

Here Here. This event had a major impact on the way I view life and my world. I live in MI and remember watching the 2nd plane go in to the South tower. I kept emailing my husband updates. My daughter was almost 9 months old. I remember the skies being eerily quiet that day and the following weeks. We were supposed to be on a plane to Seattle on 9/12/01 to attend a wedding. Obviously we didn't make it. I'm not making light of this...but the couple who was getting married that weekend couldn't go on their honey moon...so they finally had the opportunity to go a couple/few years back and they went to Thailand and got rocked by the Tsunami. They are both ok but I don't think i'll ever be travelling with them. My husband is flying home tonight so I will be praying and praying and praying.

God Bless The Families Of The Victims Of 911
To Those That Died Or Gave Their Lives - I Honor You
God Bless This Great Country And May We Never Forget And May We Never Cower Or Give In For Great Is The Price That Has Been Paid For Our Freedom And Liberty
This ain't no rag it's a flag and we don't wear it on our heads
It's a symbol of the land where the good guys live are you listening
to what I said
You're a coward and a fool
and you broke all the rules
and you wounded our American pride
Now we're coming with a gun
and we know you're gonna run
but you can't find no place to hide
We're gonna hunt you down
like a mad dog hound
and make you pay for the lives you stole
We're all through talking and messing around
and now it's time to rock and roll
These colors don't run
and we're speaking as one
when we say united we stand
If you mess with one you mess with us all
every boy, girl, woman and man
You've been acting mighty rash
and talking that trash
but let me give you some advice
You can crawl back in your hole
like a dirty little mole
but now it's time to pay the price
You might have shot us in the back
but now you have to face the fact
that the big boy's in the game
The lightning's been flashing
and the thunder's been crashing
and now it's gettin ready to rain
This is the United States of America
the land of the brave and free
We believe in God, we believe in justice,
we believe in liberty
You've been pulling our chain,
we shoulda done something about you
a long time ago
But now the flag's flying high
and the fur's gonna fly
and now the whole world's gonna know
This ain't no rag it's a flag
old glory red white and blue
The stars and stripes
and when it comes to a fight
we can do what we have to do
Our people stand proud
the American crowd
is faithful and loyal and tough
We're as good as the best
and better than the rest
you're gonna find out soon enough
When you look up in the sky
and you see the eagle fly
you'd better know he's headed your way
This ain't no rag it's a flag
and it stands for the USA
God Bless America

You know, after playing that tribute and remembering the words that GWB spoke about our resovle and not distinguishing between the cowards who committ the acts and the ones who harbour the beleifs. For the words he spoke I praise him. He did handle the situation at hand wonderfully. I hate when people criticize because I would LOVE to know what anyone else would have done at that minute...in that moment. How would you have handled it if you were one of the GWB critics? Same for the Guiliani critics.

Just as it is important to never forget, it is equally important to not become complacent, and assume the threat is over, and such a thing could never happen again.

That program was incredible. And here I thought I had seen all the video footage regrading the WTC on 9/11.
Absolutely incredible footage.
Thanks for posting your reminder, for without it, I would have missed this program.
