Nevada Legal question

Hi all,
I'm following the OJ case and was wondering...
The judge will allow Mike Gilbert to testify that OJ had given him all the 'stolen' memorabilia but he can't say why ie: he alleges OJ said, 'I'd rather you guys have it than the Goldmans.'

What happens if the jury asks that question which they get to do there? Can the judge overrule their question?? It's not like it's inappropriate to wonder why someone gives you thousands of $$ worth of stuff.

Hi karn. I'm not following the case and am not certain of Nevada law. My hunch is that the jury can ask whatever it wants. OJ's lawyers could request that the judge instruct the jury to not view any comment regarding what might be done with the memorabilia as evidence toward guilt in this particular case. The jury can then make it's own decision on whether or not it's relevant.
