Hey back to you, pro!

More importantly, only 4 more days of work 'cause I'm taking next Friday off ... and then I have a pickup at 4:30 AM Saturday, and I'm on my way.

I am excited... I'm always excited when it's time to go to my "place in the sun." Razz

The snow is melting, FINALLY...it's actually supposed to rain tonight...every morning for the past week we have had fog and icy streets. My sidewalk is almost clear of ice chunks. And our forecast is for much colder temps for next week, but not much snow....whew...I am all wintered out! Elaine, I will be trying to imagine myself on a beautiful beach with you and the sun! Have a great time!

DT ~ Hope it stays dry where you are... at least of snow and sleet. When I hear about your weather, I shouldn't complain about mine.

I'd love it if you were enjoying the beach with me. Maybe someday a bunch of us can meet there. Aruba would never be the same again!! Laughing

Hi Eline! I can feel your excitement! Are your suitcases already packed? Very Happy

Guess what: I got a call this morning, from Aruba!!! And was told that my favorite place to stay will be available! A few days ago, I booked my flight. Just in time to take advantage of my voucher. The flights were very cheap this time and the voucher covered it! Yeah!

Wished I could have made it in February to meet you again. I'll sure miss you, girl! But too much is going on right now and it will be a bit later. Go test the water and have some Brown Lady for me! Hug

Thanks N2K... I've been thinking about you, and hoping that all's well. It's nice seeing you again.

CK... I'm sorry you won't be there when I am 'cause it's like the norm now, but I'm glad you'll be using your voucher, and at least get to Aruba this year.

I've been in touch with "our friends," and sure we'll get together.

It'll be strange with just 3 of us, and you missing!! Crying or Very sad

I will miss you, too, Elaine. I still cannot believe you will not be there when I finally make it to Aruba. "Your beach" will just not be the same without you. Crying or Very sad

Hi everyone.

Wow Elaine time is getting close for your trip to paradise. Hope you have a great time.

CK is the Cedar fever getting to you yet. It is bad here right now. I don't think I have seen the whites of my eyes in a week. I look like I have been on a month long bender.

N2K a big hi to you. Haven't seen you in a while. Glad to hear all is well.

Hi Chance, luckily we don't suffer from Cedar fever, we don't feel a thing. We have approx. 300 Cedar trees on our property, love it as they look very pretty and provide lots of shade and privacy.

You are right: time has been flying by so fast. I can hardly believe that's already time for our Eline to head back to Aruba. But I'm thrilled for her.

Good Evening, Everyone!

Good morning CK and everyone! What is cedar fever? My snow is almost melted! Only the big piles left, and they are shrinking...there is more in the forecast, but the big snow that all the doom and gloomers were predicting by counting 90 days from a big fog...it was supposed to be 20 inches on Jan 20....ha...didn't happen. Good, cause I sure can't afford to miss anymore work due to snow days! My school district has reached it's limit on snow days. We are really longing to see the sun...it's been over a week since we had a sunny day. Crying or Very sad

Good morning! Gloomy day going on here with some snow due Friday night into Saturday! Not good for my travel day!!! If I don't quit my job before I leave, I only have 2 more days of work. My boss has been acting like a real turd, and I'm not sure I can take much more without telling him what he can do with my job.

Hi Chance....I never heard of cedar fever either.

DT
~ hope it's smooth sailing for you from this point on. Your area certainly got your share. A friend of mine in Iowa's had nothing but snow and white outs... Terrible winter so far.

CK ~ it only goes fast for everyone else, and especially fast when countdown's near.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Hi DT, I found an article about cedar fever which might be interesting for Chance as well:

The disease cedar fever is not actually a fever. This disease is a kind of
allergy. The allergic reaction is accompanied by watery and itchy eyes, runny
nose, and sneezing. Most of the time, this also causes itchiness inside the
ears. Cedar fever is caused by the pollen from the commonly known mountain
cedar tree, although this tree is actually juniper (juniperus ashei). This
disease is a seasonal disease. This means that many individuals get this
disease on only certain seasons of the year.

The usual season for cedar fever would be December to January, when the cyclic
pollination of trees occur. The pollens are released by the trees and scattered
by the winds. Once the pollen from the tree is inhaled, it may cause an
undesirable effect on cedar allergic persons.

Many persons are are prone to allergies. The allergic reactions to certain
things are caused by an oversensitive immune system. The oversensitive immune
system leads to an increased (but unnecessary) immune response. The body's
immune system usually protects itself against harmful chemicals, bacteria and
viruses. The allergic reaction occurs when the immune system reacts to
a stimulant (an allergen) that usually does not do harm most people.

As noted above, cedar fever involves an allergic reaction to pollen. A virtually
identical reaction occurs with allergy to mold, dust, and other allergens that
can be inhaled. Other small particles on the air, especially in polluted air,
can greatly aggravate the disease of cedar fever.

Nutritionists who have a wide experience in providing supplements for people
that get afflicted with cedar fever usually recommend pantothenic acid (a type
of vitamin B), zinc and vitamin C, or even colloidal silver.

There are a couple of natural options to relieve the symptoms of seasonal
allergies. Research has shown that one or more of the vitamins, minerals,
herbs and other supplements may reduce the symptoms of seasonal allergies.
These vitamins and minerals include bromelain, bioflavonoids, calcium,
magnesium and licorice.

Thanks pro and chance. Just got home from all the "maintenace" work, and going out for dinner with the kids later. I'll be up all night packing, but that's not a bad thing.

Will check in from time to time.

Thanks again!! kissing

Thanks SS, DT and gwen. Suitcases are sitting by the door, boarding pass printed, baggage paid.... and, now I'll probably be up most of what I have of the night since 3:30 will arrive soon.

Leaving 7 degrees here at home, and stepping out into high 80's low 90's. No arthritic pain for a month... it doesn't get any better than that.

Gwen, not to worry - I'll probably have a toast or ten for all of you!!

"Talk" to you next from that sweet little island that I love.

Bon Voyage, girl! Hugging
