Look at all those tatoos. He will have to be easily identified.
Thank God for DNA. He is nailed.
The LE of SC has done a wonderful job. It has been 11 days since Tiffany was murdered and they have a warrant for his arrest. All LE in the whole SE has to be looking for him now.

Ditto! Only thing they missed was the profile but I am still proud of the Upstate LE. What a shame to think that was the last face that beautiful girl saw.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Investigators have caught the man they believe killed Clemson junior Tiffany Souers.

He was captured, without a struggle, about midnight about a mile from his parents' home, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office told WYFF News 4.

The DNA evidence was gathered from Souers' apartment in Central, Stewart said.
DNA collected after Inman’s previous convictions led investigators to identify him through a national database.
"When we put the information in we got a name back that was not part of our investigation," Stewart said.
********
Something to think about in the NH case also -- "...we got a name back that was not part of our investigation."

He expresses outrage toward suspect

STAFF WRITERS
The father of strangulation victim Tiffany Marie Souers said from his home in Ladue, Mo., early today that he was “elated” that authorities had captured a suspect, but his family is worn down after an investigation that spanned a week and a half.
“Life just changed on a dime for us,” Jim Souers said. “No one can understand unless you’re in our position. But at least we found a killer.”

What a horrible excuse for a human being. I just hope that the information from his mother that he is bi-polar does not keep him from getting the death penalty in South Carolina.

Convicted Sex Offender Admits to Raping, Strangling S.C. Student With Bikini
Tuesday, August 19, 2008
PICKENS, S.C. — A convicted sex offender has admitted he strangled a 20-year-old South Carolina college student, leaving her body in her off-campus apartment with her bikini top still wrapped around her neck.
Jerry Buck Inman pleaded guilty Tuesday to kidnapping, raping and murdering Tiffany Marie Souers. The 37-year-old Inman could face the death penalty.
The Clemson University engineering student's body was found in May 2006. Authorities say Inman used her own swimsuit top to strangle her.
Inman tried to plead guilty last year with the caveat that he be sentenced by a jury, but a judge ruled that wasn't allowed under state law.
Inman spent about 18 years in prison in North Carolina and Florida for rapes committed in those states as a teenager.

Bikini top killer wracked by guilt, lawyer says
PICKENS, South Carolina (AP) -- A convicted sex offender facing execution for raping and strangling a Clemson University student feels so guilty for his crimes that life in prison would be harder on him, his lawyer argued in a South Carolina court on Monday.
Jerry Buck Inman, 37, of Tennessee, pleaded guilty last month to murdering 20-year-old engineering student Tiffany Marie Souers in May 2006 in her apartment about three miles from the South Carolina college's campus.
A judge will decide whether Inman is executed or sentenced to life in prison.
"He is filled with guilt and shame," Inman's attorney Jim Bannister said. "That eats him from the inside out on a daily basis. ... It leads him to the conclusion that he is an animal and that he deserves to die."
But Bannister argued during the first day of the sentencing hearing that his client should not be executed. He said Inman "came into this world impaired to start with," living in a home where his father molested him and his mother suffered from mental illness.
"What is it about a man's background that could put him in a position to be capable of such a horrendous and unthinkable crime?" Bannister asked Circuit Court Judge Edward Miller, who will decide Inman's fate.
Inman spent 18 years in prison for rapes he committed as a teenager in North Carolina and Florida and is a registered sex offender in both states. He had been free for about nine months before his arrest in Souers' death.
Defense attorneys had argued that Inman should be sentenced by a jury, but Miller ruled that was not allowed under law in South Carolina, where those who plead guilty are sentenced by judges.
In afternoon testimony, one of the women Inman was convicted of raping took the stand, describing how a 17-year-old Inman broke into her Tampa apartment and assaulted her in 1987.
Inman also faces charges in an attempted rape in Alabama and a rape in Tennessee that authorities have said occurred in the days leading up to Souers' death. Both women described in court how they identified Inman as their attacker after seeing his face on television during coverage of Souers' death.
They said he surprised each in their homes, held a knife to their throats and bound their wrists.
Dozens packed one side of the courtroom Monday, many in Clemson's school colors of orange and purple. Souers' parents, Jim and Bren Souers, sat just behind the prosecutors' table, dabbing their eyes and crying.
Two of Souers' roommates from Clemson also testified, describing their friend as a generous person who never met a stranger.
"College has a way of making your friends your family," said Holly Bergman, a nurse in Newport Beach, California, who lived with Souers their sophomore year, moving out just days before Souers' body was found in their apartment. "She was probably the closest thing I had to a sister. ... When I went over to her apartment that day, I didn't expect to find her dead."
When Inman pleaded guilty to rape and murder, he confirmed everything in handwritten confessions he gave to police shortly after his June 2006 arrest for Souers' death.
"I did not go there to kill her. I don't want to talk about the sex part, but I did have sex with her," he wrote, saying he killed Souers because he knew she would recognize him.
He said he bound and strangled her and that he "knew Tiffany was dead because she stopped struggling."
When Souers, of Ladue, Missouri, was found, the bikini top used to strangle her was still around her neck.
Attorneys have said they expect the hearing to last several days, with prosecutors planning to call their final witnesses on Tuesday. It isn't known if Inman or Souers' parents will take the stand.
