I never said my kids READ here or LOG on to this site. I never even said my kids COULD READ ! If you will read my post again - you'll see that I said the cussing is pathetic - that has nothing to do with my kids.
Its the trashy pics that some people have on here that I was talking about where my kids are concerned. My computer (like alot of peoples computers) is in our living room. And so , YES.....my kids can see a naked man from a distance, as can anyone else in the room that may look my way, approach me, etc.
As for my Nic being different at various sites - Its very simple - Its the perfect way to weed out two faced, back stabbing, lunatics.

I apologize. I did not realize that this was your regular nik on Refs -- my error. As for different niks at different places, don't you think that two-faced, backstabbing lunatics are doing the same thing?

ah people who find excuses rather than finding solutions. 
Do a search on monitor privacy screens, OR reposition your computer, OR don't visit the site when YOU run the risk of them seeing something YOU find offensive to them.
We are not in charge of how YOU run your household. We are NOT responsible for YOU making what you find offensive, available to YOUR kids! If your kids can view your monitor from across the room, that means your back is turned to them, so why is it OUR responsibility for shielding YOUR kids? With your back turned to your kids, how do you keep an eye on them?

I dont know (or care) about others but I and the other good guys/gals are smart enough to know. If you spend time at sites where the subject matter is the same or simular - you DO converse with the same people. And for those that have been around for years, know who the decent , mature people are - different nic or not.

Finally posters were able to debate in a harsh way , if thats what you want to call it.
But by having the "anything goes" concept on the Refs forums , theres alot to be desired here.
When you run a board, you are running a business of sorts. Ive never known of a business announce to other businesses, competition and posters (employees) everything TO THE PUBLIC things like this.
You say you dont want drama, well, everytime a thread like this is made, that is exactly what it causes. There is no reason for admin or posters to post subjects like this. Talk about "creating" drama, it happens and IIT WORKS...
Imo, this site is starting to look , well, lets say TRASHY --- A Juvy Hall of sorts. I (among others) cant even read here much anymore due to the pics on some posts.
Hello, some of us do have children and clicking on a thread just to have a naked man , or whatever pop up makes it very hard to read here, and THAT is very sad. At this point, I think that the integrity is gone from here.
Besides the pics, the cussing is pathetic. I can hang with the best of sailors but WHY do some posters have to post

It is very TACKY. Im suprised the Refs have any reputation at all anymore, especially when it comes to the media. jmo
Now, before everyone starts getting all worked up, please, just remember, most of you know me. Im one of the good guys and I have NEVER had a problem with any other posters on the Ref sites or any other site in years.
I hope this Forum can get it together, and very soon. Like I said, this is a GREAT SITE but ONLY FOR 1 THING ANYMORE.... "NEWS", THATS IT.

One thing that I hope you respect about this place is the freedom you have to be able to express yourself and be critical on a thread that started with a post that asking for consideration and understanding. We try to let everyone stand on their own merit as much as we can legally or reasonably allow. However, when you have several months of experience running a large message board with people who have been posting together for about a year, come back, I'll be a lot more interested in taking your advice and hearing your experiences. It's probably a bit different than you imagine.
There was a reason we went public, and it was because of the things being said privately and the rumors that were untrue. We wanted to confront the issues head on and openly and not treat members as if they didn't have a right to know how we were addressing them. Out of respect, I also don't believe in leaving people to wonder what happened, and end up with confusion and threads where people were asking where "so and so" went, and what about what is being said here or there, and what happened. We also leave topics open for questions and comments. We aren't dictators.
If you do not like the language here, I suggest finding forum that is moderated for foul language or skip over the people who usually use a lot of it. I'm not sure how many NH forums are currently moderated for foul language...BFN and SM, maybe some others?

That seems rather disingenuous, Car, for you to try to use your alter identity at another board as a threat or warning so that others won't "bash" your post based on YOUR POST HERE with THIS nic. Think about it. What you post here as Car, will be judged by others on its own merit. That's just how it is. If you want to be seen differently, then you should use your other nic here to make your posts then people might have more of a chance at understanding where you are coming from based on ALL your posts they've read.
There's no doubt this board will not suit everyone, and that's okay. It's here for you if it does, and others are there for you when this one doesn't. When this place was started we tried to fill a void in the NH community- low moderation and admins not pushing their own beliefs and moderating the board to promote them. We do understand and accept that not everyone will like it here. There's just no pleasing everyone. 
The bottom line is that this is a low moderation, ADULT site that people belong to and read on a free and voluntary basis. We believe that first and foremost, everyone is responsible for themselves, their posts, their own safety and their reactions to other's posts.

Thanks for responding. In the opening post , the stories were put out there. OK, whatever. No big deal i guess....But then to turn around and talk about DRAMA this and DRAMA that is just crazy. Either you want drama here or you dont.
And for the record, I came from CTV and that crap, very early on. I still have the defunct links in my favs. But I'm also a member of MANY crime communities - NOT NATALIE (HOWEVERTHEHELLYOUSPELLHERNAME) COMMUNITIES.
As far as other sites that I and alot of other posters go, contrary to popular belief , they arent 99% of other sites mentioned here on a regular basis. I dont post much but I do read everyday for news and a long while back I started a thread here asking what all those initials stood for. To this day, I dont know (and others dont either).
AGAIN, about going to other sites - did I ever say they were Nat sites ? NO, I didnt. I said they were of the same subject matter or simular. AND, I said WEBSITES/FORUMS not "threads" of other sites.
I have been misquoted many times just on THIS "thread". And BASHED, just for stating my opinion, which as I am told, EVERYONES opinion is welcomed at anytime.
