Seriously, I hope that one day we find out about all of this and especially why the chaperones were considered off limits. They should be particularly ashamed of themselves. The phone call questions have always baffled me too.

I think that much of her early behavior also was to hide stuff from Dave...he was against the trip..and from his statements he did NOT even know it was all booze included and did NOT know that the "chaperones" were not really chaperones...
Other oddities....Dave had never been inside the house where his 2 children lived for 5 years..Natalee pretty much dragged him in to finally see her bedroom during her graduation, and he felt uncomfortable in Jug's house
The one scholarship that Natalee recieved is a perk to kids of active (donating) alumni's...the other is a pro forma partial scholarship for kids with a certain grade average....her grades were good, but she was NOT among the honor students at graduation ceremony
To futher show the rift between Dave and Beth, look back to their time in aruba...they never appeared together, Dave set up his own "trust" account when it became painfully obvious that the Twitty dominated trust for Beth was not going to be shared....they supposedly had ONE dinner together with their spouses, an occasion that some of the rabid Bethlovers pointed out over and over and over..LOL
Their rift also caused problems with the poor aruban LE and Prosecutors contacting them....no LE agency will contact 2 different sets of parents on every item...most families would pull together and forget their feuds to help find a missing loved one, they would have ONE common agreed upon spokesperson....but not this family
Beth and Jug were "out of the loop" especially after Jug showed himself to be the bully pig with Karen J. in her office...no wonder they refused to speak to them directly...try that in a usa sherif's office..like the sherifs who support Beth so lovingly and pay for her to visit resorts and share her hatred and boycott
Another note: apparently cosmetic surgery and dentistry work wonders on parental grief...Beth's teeth are lookin mighty white and somehow seem to look different...bleaching? a few veneers??

You bring up many good points. As an ex wife myself, twice over I can attest to there being 2 kinds of ex spouses. You have the ones that call, check on their children, come to the home, and are active, and cooperate with the other ex in the best interest of their children. They put the past aside, and work together for whats best.
Then you have the vindictive assholes, who usually marry another vindictive asshole who make it impossible to feel comfortable with them, with the children theyve now claimed as theirs alone, and forget going into their home. This second class usually has something to hide. Whether is be alcoholism, drug abuse, emotional abuse, physicaly abuse or whatever. Allowing the ex into the home and so close will expose the truth that things arent wonderful in the new family.
I speak from exp. My first ex and me get along wonderfully. He calls everyday. He takes the kids riverrafting with the new wife. We share holidays, birthdays etc. He calls sometimes the same day and says hey can I come get them for dinner? No problem.
My other ex however, wont even speak to me on the phone. Son comes home with tales of fist fighting, drinking, dad drunk driving with him etc. The ex's who go out of their way to hide their home, are doing more then just that, theyre trying to hide the truth. I believe Beth was one of these ex's and married someone that would help her hide her ugly side as well.
Poor Natalee and Matt had no choice but to live there. She had custody. i know most kids can choose where they live as teens, however can you imagine going up against them and saying I dont want to be with you? Insecurity ran rampant it seems in that house.

I want to thank statinmyopinion2 for this letter. It really opened my eyes to things I didn't know. I knew Beth puffed up Natalees character alot but how much I wasn't aware. It's amazing to me how someone can say "honor" student when that isn't so. Does this mean shes ashamed that Natalee wasn't so she made her out to be.
To say full scholarship when it wasn't so. So sad for Natalee. I get a gut feeling Natalees whole life after moving to MB was character character character...sad sad sad.

This is the same Art Wood that is claiming there is a treaty that will allow the FBI to go in to Aruba and take over the case when Aruba closes it because Natalee's civil rights have been violated.

I do not know what scholarships Natalee has received but it is possible for her to have been going to college for free. All that has been found is the scholarships given from the U of A. My daughter just graduated from high school and she did receive three scholarships from the university that she will attend. These did not cover the total cost; however, she did receive some foundation, state and private scholarships because of her community service, activities and academic performance. With all of them added together it is more than the cost of her college. If you were to search for her scholarships for the college though the only ones that would show up in your search would be the ones the college gave her. So it is possible that Natalee received a full ride to college, just not from one source. Also, she might not have been listed as an honor graduate as schools have different criteria for listing someone as an "honor graduate". But she did graduate with honors as evidenced by the cords she had with her gown and the gold tassel. I think it is all a matter of wording.

No, it's the truth 
Came from two reliable people who spoke with several of the girls moms first hand who had children in that class. They were doing prayer vigils and learning how to make the yarn bracelets...and Beth terrorized them
ETA: One mom said her girls were so traumatized they won't sleep in thier own beds anymore.
