No more staff bashing!
A rule has been in place for awhile, but not really posted as an announcement or sticky and it hasn't been really enforced because of that.
There will be NO more bashing of Admin or Mods here.
The owners of this site have welcomed you all into their home and the moderators simply enforce the ideas/rules/vision set forth by admin.
I have seen some very nasty remarks made here to and about the staff and owners and it simply can't continue.
The staff works hard to maintain the delicate balance of a low mod board. It's a hit or miss sometimes, but everything is at the discretion of the owners.
It's much harder to moderate a free speech/low mod board like this one than it is to mod a highly moderated forum.
Also, some need to remember that all staff members were posters before becoming staff, so we all sometimes post on a personal level and not as a moderator or admin..
So, please respect the admin & moderators here by not trashing us in posts. It's so very disrespectful and rude.
Posters who bash, attack or make rude and uncalled for comments towards or about staff will be banned, timed out or dealt with accordingly.

Well said, Diva.
In my opinion, it is equally rude to trash and bash one's fellow posters.
And WangChung said it very well:
"Personal attacks against fellow posters are for losers. It's my opinion that engaging in slamming, sniping, humiliating, goading, taunting, parsing, demanding, intimidating, belittling or expressing false outrage towards a fellow poster serves no purpose other than to limit the enjoyment and camaraderie that a low-mod board provides. "
Whether it's an owner of the site, an Admin, a Moderator.. or just a fellow poster, it's RUDE to trash ANYONE.
And as far as respect, I've always believed those that trash other people don't respect themselves very much.

It's crazeeee to need this rule. I mean, if you don't like the staff and/or the way they run the board why would you hang around? duh!
But, good rule, all the same.

It would look good on the resume to be banned from a low mod board.
Unfortunately, I cannot find any subject on which to criticise or bash except for this totally ridiculous rule. If someone is rude or unjustifiably critical of the mods then just ban them. No need to warn them or even tell them. But if their criticism has some justification it may be better to listen to what they have to say.

I suggest the mod/admin use different names when posting as regular posters. Disagreement shouldn't be taken as bashing, and mod/admin shouldn't be able to bash with impunity, just because they're mod/admin.

They can't... and how come certain posters get away with grooss negativism and some don't?

BECAUSE this board belongs to VC & Joynow... they don't have to notify a poster before they deactivate. This isn't a farking democracy, there is no majority rules. They can do whatever they see fit.
Some of you REALLY need to get a clue.... or your own forum

Some of you REALLY need to get a clue.... or your own forum | Diva... obviously... joy and Vc can do whatever they want... when they want... but would you agree that when a poster is told X... that the mod's should do X before they do Y... or is the X-factor just up for grabs... typically speaking those that find themselves in the postion of authority set a standard and should live up to those standards... yes? Maybe Not...

You don't know that staff doesn't have alters. Not saying they do or don't, but nevertheless it's not really up to you..
Thanks for the suggestion anyway

If poster X was promised a warning of deactivation, then deactivated w/o warning..then I would say they did something so bad they had to be deactivated immediately..
Besides, if said poster was already talking to a mod or admin about being banned then Poster X was already on the brink, no? Isn't that warning enough?

NO... no warning bell was sounded... no reason given for banning... when ASKING for PERMISSION to post again under new alter... kindly asked to be warned BEFORE the finger pushed the button ...
MOD(VC) AGREED that warning would issued... so ... you would have to take the mod/banned poster conversation in context... but bottom line is... you guys cherry-pick your posters... which is great... but so Smankie like... just sayin... ban away...

Read VC's post, yff....whoever you are.
(This thread is interesting. )
I wish we could sort the memberlist by who is banned.....that way we could see when new people join, who they might be .

Don't you think that the fact that you've been banned three times should tell you something?
If VC said she would warn you, that was very nice of her, however, she owes you nothing of the sort. You are already knew you were behaving in a manner that would not be allowed.
I think you had fair warning...and I'd go so far as to say you should consider yourself on permanent warning.
