Wow, Annie, that's a fabulous link! This is a great place for it.

I've heard such horror stories about Black Friday! Shocked I usually stay home and put up my tree.

It would be neat if some people could post about some good bargains they got. I've heard about people getting out there and being first in line at 6 a.m. and getting some real unbelievable steals! Shocked

HAHAHA I think 6:00am is late, some of these stores are opening at 4 and 5:00am, and Yes I am one of those people that get out there and shop that early, I'm on a mission have my list and am ready, usually can be home around 9:00 am. Great prices on TV's CD's DVD's and electronics. Something to remember alot of the stores do give-aways!!! Last year just for walking in the door at Kroger's, I got a 10 gift card, got the card and left then on to Target, in the same shopping center. The three kids, his, hers and mine tell me one big ticket item, and usually I can get it at a great price. The grandkids are easy.

You all scare me a little bit. Laughing I do all my shopping online. Probably don't get the best deals, but I can't take the crowds. Laughing

It's nice to point and click, plus my UPS guy is hot so I get that added little bonus whenever I order. Razz

I go shopping on Black Friday too but not that early. But I do go with my Mom! While the best deal for a big ticket item is usually early, they still have great sales on other things later in the day.
By the time we get to the actually shopping (you have to eat when you shop, right !) its in the afternoon, the mall is less crowded and we find great sales on clothes and other items, plus we go to PA where there is no tax on clothes ! My mom uses me as a model for things she buys my sisters and sisterinlaw but also tells me its for them but its really for me !
I also shop for my Mom for my Dad that day. He orders things online alot now but still has me get some things I see her looking at that day. (He hates to go shopping). I can always find her favorite expensive perfume on sale plus you usually get an extra gift with it that day.
Because we do shop alot online now, we just do the one mall. In the past, we did hit 4 malls in 2 states in one day !

Wow you guys are so lucky. Very Happy We don't have a BF up here. The prices just stay high until boxing day when everything goes on sale for 50% or whatever. Santa Claus always came on December 25, but since my kids are older now, we celebrate the major gift giving in January for orthodox Christmas so I can take advantage of boxing day.

It has probably been over 25 years since I have gotten caught up in the commercialism of pre-Christmas buying. I am MOST thankful for that.

Please don't take my comment as a judgment of those who do, I TRULY understand. Just a personal choice that I made many moons ago after being robbed of my Christmas goodies one year.

Also, I have had a personal request in for the past 20 years for NO Christmas gifts for myself, but instead ask my family members and friends to donate something to the families in the AIDS shelters (I have one in particular that I LOVE TO PIECES), or C.O.T.S. (the Coalition of Temporary Shelter), for the homeless.

Laughing Laughing I did that for my mil last yr. This year I wont be able to get up as early Ill be with my mom and she isnt about to freeze outside for anything. Not to mention my daughter and I usually do it together, but she just had a baby and somehow I dont see her standing outside with a newborn lol. Last yr it was so vicious someone hit me with a cart at walmart lmao. I was trying to get to the toy section quickest and took the back entrance through the garden dept and some old lady whacked me with a cart.
