• Paper writings of identification trace evidence, blood, instruments or items used to cause the death of the victim, fingerprints, palm prints, photographs and body of victim
• Compaq Presario 6000 hard drive, removed from the home office
• Two cell phones, both found inside Jason Young's Ford Explorer
• Voicemail and other service provider information from both cell phones, including missed calls, received calls, text messages and digital photos
• Answering machine, CDs, camcorders, storage media from inside the home
• Nikon Coolpix 4 megapixel camera and SanDisk 256 megabyte SD memory card, found in the upstairs den/office
• US Airways baggage claim ticket for Jason Young
• United Airlines ticket for Jason Young
• US Airways MasterCard statement for Jason Young
• Confirmation for Hampton Inn reservation from early September 2006
• Receipt for the Adam's Mark in Denver, CO
• Wake Co. Public Library key tag
• United Airlines receipt for Jason Young for trip to Denver on October 9, 2006
• Storage box containing miscellaneous papers
• Three (3) wedding photos
• Three (3) manila file folders containing a will, insurance papers and other items
• Small bag containing Fuji brand cassette tape

• Dell Inspiron computer, Seagate external hard drive, one Coherent flash card

Heli I am wondering if that is worded badly by the news channel. It seems to me, that until forensics are done they can not be sure if items were used in the murder, or just bloody or in fact if they had been washed and dont "look" like evidence.
Sounds more like items that could have been used in the death...and will be tested

Possibly but maybe they worded it that way so if there was more then one weapon. It might also be possible he bludgeoned her and used a pillow to muffle her noise, in that case theyre be two weapons.

Good point justamom as any noise would awaken the child I don't know how close their house is to other neighbours.

Deputies Examining Husband's Laptop in Young Murder Probe

Wake County sheriff’s deputies are scouring a laptop computer seized from the car of Jason Young, husband of murder victim Michelle Young, WRAL learned Saturday.
A search warrant asking permission to examine the computer indicats they are looking for financial records, correspondence with insurance companies and other evidence that might help them find the person who beat the pregnant mother to death in her home.
Michelle Young, 29, was found dead in the couple’s home on Nov. 3. A preliminary autopsy report indicated that she died from blunt force trauma.
In describing what deputies sought with the warrant, Investigator B.T. David said it was a Dell Latitude laptop and "evidence that may aid in the identification of a possible suspect and the motivation for this homicide to include: digital evidence, diskettes, CD ROM, material relating to data used to commit the above offense, 'cookie' data files, Internet browser logs ... financial records, e-mails, instant messages" and several other kinds of computer files.
Deputies had seized the computer from Jason Young's Ford Explorer when he returned to Raleigh after his wife's murder was discovered. This warrant is for the data on the machine's hard drive.
Earlier in the investigation, deputies seized two computer hard drives from the house and a cell phone from Jason Young’s car.
Jason Young talked with investigators the day his wife's body was found and later gave fingerprints under a court order, but Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison has said that he has refused to speak with investigators.
"Attempts have been made to have Jason Young assist in this investigation. He has refused to cooperate with the Wake County Sheriff's Office," David's warrant says.
Husband refuses to hlpe copy. Why refuse if he did not do it? Should he
not want to help the cops catch who ever killed os wife? Sounds like he does not care. IMO sounds like he should be the prime suspect.

Newest search warrant at the Young house (see links thread)
In the new search warrant, one section reads, "As a standard practice, the City County Bureau of Identification photographs a crime scene showing the conditions that existed when it was secured." It goes on to read, "In the bathroom photographs, one sees numerous red footprints. While the photographs vividly detail the bathroom's condition, no photos were taken that depict a scale of measurement that could be used in a later analysis."
 wth? nothing to depict a scale of footprints?

wth? nothing to depict a scale of footprints? |
It doesn't say those photos were taken by investigators, does it? The shock and awe is just beginning, imo.

What I find interesting is that Sam Pennica who heads the CCBI was unaware that the NC SBI had visited the crime scene recently and had executed a new search warrant. Pennica used to head the NC SBI. I wonder if Pennica is being blamed in screwing up the investigation.

Defense will probably place blame which is why they've gone back and dotted their i's. Sounds like they are winding up their investigation and want Meredith and her gaggle of supporters to know they have the deck evidence.

I am baffled by the deck. What is significant about it? Esp the bucket of deck stain.

I think stain and perhaps bleach were used to hide evidence. The deck is right underneath the master bedroom/bath windows. Sure wasn't Jason restaining the deck in the middle of the night.
