I have to say I find it quite interesting how "messy" a filed claim is in Los Angeles versus New York.
The LA paper work is completely "busy" with what amounts to "shit" while the NY paper work, is clean lean and to the point.
Is this the illustration of the East and West Coast well known fighting? The "bling" versus the "blah"?

How can they name "DOES 1 through 100" as unknown defendants? What does that even mean? That there were maybe 100 other people involved but they don't know who they are so they are just throwing that in for good measure?

tort claims are to assign responsibility and determine who owes what amount based on the assigned resposibility, so by using does 1-100, plaintiffs are able to add parties later without filing new pleadings.
