Parade Magazine 3-18-07

Quote:
Q. Does Natalee Holloway’s mother, Beth Twitty, hold out hope of ever finding out what happened to her daughter in Aruba? And has she used psychics?
—G. Craft, Lexington, Ky.

A. “Beth is very cautiously optimistic about one day getting answers,” says her lawyer, John Q. Kelly. “The family was contacted by psychics. All leads were followed up, with no results.” Sadly, Beth’s second husband, “Jug” Twitty, filed for divorce last year, no doubt affected by the strain of Natalee’s disappearance.

I took that to mean all the psychic leads were followed up. Perhaps Aruba has a local psychic?

I think that means that once Beth got Natalee's remains in her possession, probably sometime between June 6-12th 2005, that she took that as a license to be able to utter whatever the hell she wanted because no one would ever be able to perform an autopsy to prove otherwise.

death certificate not avialable without a body. she had to put on this whole hissy fit to try to get one and has still not succeeded.

There is a whole paper at BFN and other places about the missing body.

Do you have any links/sources that suggest that someone covered up Beth's taking the remains? How do you think Natalee died?

That's certainly not how I interpreted it.

Wasn't the PVS 'no body, no case' quote attributed to Deepak by Mickey John or the other guard after they were released?

That is hardly real evidence, just heresay.

And like so much heresay in this case it is perpetuated by posters like Wabbi until it becomes an internet truth.

Add Joran killed his dog, had bruises and scratches at school, got in fights with MB kids, etc., etc.

You undergarments are showing and they are looking a little soiled.

No where in that statement did it say that ALE followed up on all leads. That is a major problem here. People read what they want to read whether it is true or not. Maybe ALE did but it was not stated in that quote.

Merely mentioning the words "Spencer Bachus" still pisses you off, doesn't it?

Are you hoping that Joran will say it was not Natalee that was with us that night? That would be huge! What happenes if Joran writes I
did belly shots, dance and drank with Natalee. Then it was Natalee
in the car with us and I swear I just left her on the beach. Sure to be a best seller. Wonder if he will sell more books than Dave?

Since Joran has already said that it was Natalee he was with on the beach in at least two interviews, I don't think it's going to happen your way, All5.

How does that statement tie into the response to the actual question? How does the divorce relate to the use of psychics.

It doesn't, it was just added to make the statement more tragic than it really is. If I interpret the divorce filings correctly than Jug and Beth had marital problems before Natalee disappeared. Natalee's disapearance might be a direct result of those marital problems!

For the record, Joran is writing nothing. The book is by an investigative reporter.

From the very first instance of contact with the posse, Joran did not recognize Natalee....eventually, he was probably lead to believe it was Nat he was with because she's the one "missing".

Whoever he was with really isn't important unless that person steps forward and admits it; thus, making him look less like a criminal. But what is important is that he left a girl on the beach ...alive....and Natalee does indeed appear on tape or a witness places her in the hotel after Joran claims to have left the beach area.

And the really, really critical masse is that what you or I or anyone else that posts here doesn't amount to a hill of beans when compared with what ALE and other LE know based upon hard facts and evidence.

In fact, Kare(i)n Jans(s)en told reporters that she had learned that PVS had said "no body no case" from two "friends" of Joran's who had been "interviewed" by the police just prior to PVS arrest.

The link and the interview have been posted more than once.

I wonder who those two friends were?

Whatever, even if PVS had a huge sign in his garden saying "No body, no case!", it doesn't proof anything, aside from the fact that the writer has some knowledge about how difficult it is to prosecute a murder/kidnapping case without a trace of the victim.

the "quote" is damning in that implies a dead body. why would you say that about somebody who is just missing? it can only be understood in the context of her not showing up as expected. they were the main suspects, they had left the club with her and they were worried about her and themselves. if they worried that something had befallen her meester van der sloot would have finally reassured them that if they never found any trace of her they could not very well be prosecuted. was he trying to draw them out or warning them they better make sure they have disposed of her well? out of context, this episode sticks in the craw.
