A&E Star Dog Chapman bounty hunter

he dog shit has hit the ceiling!

A&E star Duane “Dog” Chapman is embroiled in an ugly racial scandal.

On Wednesday, an audio recording of the Bounty Hunter star surfaced. In that recording, Chapman can be heard saying the N-word over and over and telling his son not to date a girl that is of color.

As a result of these revelations, A&E has announced that they are halting production on Dog’s show.

“We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action,” said the network.

Dog has already apologized and has reached out to the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Dog' Chapman sorry for using N-word

HONOLULU - Television bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman apologized Wednesday for repeatedly using a racial slur in a profanity-laced tirade during a private phone conversation with his son that was recorded and posted online.

Chapman, star of A&E's hit reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," responded after The National Enquirer posted a clip of the conversation in which Chapman uses the N-word in reference to his son's girlfriend.

A&E officials did not immediately return phone messages seeking comment from The Associated Press. Chapman issued a statement apologizing for the comments.

The recording was first posted online by the Enquirer. It was unclear who recorded the conversation or how the tabloid obtained the 1 1/2-minute clip in which Chapman uses the N-word six times. A woman at the Enquirer said no one would be available to comment after hours.

In the conversation, Chapman urges his son to break up with his girlfriend. He also expresses concern about the girlfriend going public about the TV star's use of the N-word.

In the clip, Chapman also stated he doesn't care that his son's girlfriend is black.

In a statement, the 54-year-old Chapman said he has "utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred.

"I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world," he said. "I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused."

Chapman said, "My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation."

Chapman said the clip was completely taken out of context.

"I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character," he said. "However, I should have never used that term."

Chapman said he is meeting with his spiritual adviser, Rev. Tim Storey, who is black, and hopes to meet with other black leaders, "so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again."

"I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing," he said. "I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me."

The Honolulu-based bounty hunter first grabbed headlines for apprehending serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is apologizing for his hate-filled speech.

After A&E suspended production on his show, the N-word loving star issued the following statement Wednesday night:

“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.

In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance. I am meeting with my spiritual advisor, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.

I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life.”

Would a person of color go through such hell if they used the phrase "those white bitches"! Possibly, but I don't doubt that Sharpton would find some excuse for such behavior. My family does not use the "n..." word. My son even mentioned that fact after hearing others use it. Another proud moment as a parent. I did somethings right! LOL.

However, I know that throughout history many families do. I also know there are many ignorant people in the world with views and behaviors that are not necessarily correct. Is it right? No. Is it inexcusable? Perhaps. Does it warrant all this BS? Absolutely not! Rap music has made this a non-issue in my opinion. The people that want blood for these comments have a responsibility to rise above the use of this word. If they want to feel such outrage over this word usage, so be it, but for people to lose their careers over this is ridiculous while free speech is part of US Constitution and culture.

I'm so sick of the use of the word racist for overblown outrage. It is a fact that too many people are what some call racist. However, in the greater picture of problems in the world who really gives a shit? I believe with hard work, good principles, and education anyone can be successful in America. Racism is not the huge barrier in this country for opportunity. What is a huge hindrance is not being able to rise above outrage from ridiculous comments made by certain individuals.

There are many other issues that mass media needs to address than a few ignoramious people that were caught saying some non-PC phrase or word. Another example is the use of the word "faggot". Shit, as kids, my male cousins called each other a faggot all the time for a period of time that they first learned the stupid word. Kids most likely just saw the word as some kind of insult. I doubt any of them particularly gave any thought about it being an insult to all homosexuals in the world. In the greater picture of things who should really give a fuck that stupid people say hurtful words.

Perhaps if more families use this as a point of discussion, or an opportunity to change their own verbal dynamics, then a greater good is done with this outrage. Losing jobs in a free world over such a thing is just plain nonsense. It is just a public relations bunch of bullshit for corporate America. It does nothing to change the real issues with racism.

Sorry for the dissertation, but this shit really pisses me off. People's lives were not placed in jeopardy just because some people said something they shouldn't have. Get real. People need to examine their own lives. That is the lesson in all this, not whether some dumb shit loses their job. Locally here, a teacher/coach recently lost their job for using the phrase "n-rigged, GMAFB! Does anyone believe that when that person used that phrase they were expressing their racism to those that heard and reported it? I don't with much certainty.

Racist Betrayed By His Son

Dog The Bounty Hunter’s very own son was the one that sold the racially explosive private phone conversation of the star, which has put him in the middle of a media firestorm and caused A&E to halt production on his reality show.

“I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner,” Dog’s attorney says, adding that the son sold the tape for “a lot” of money.

Things Get Worse For The Racist

After recently suspending production on his show, A&E announced Friday that they were pulling all episodes of Dog The Bounty Hunter off the network indefinitely.

They said in a statement:

“In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog The Bounty Hunter off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future. We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.”

They need to show the world that they are appropriately scolding him.

A&E didn’t go so far as to say that the show was cancelled, though.
