Eating like a queen.

As SS pointed out, i am pretty active on recipezaar.com as marramamba. For years i stopped cooking when it used to be a love of mine.

Well i got put on a NASTY diet, low fat, low carb/sugar, low sodium low anything good.

Totally depressed after i realized i could not eat most beef (unless i could afford filet mignon which i cant), i finally got to work to find ways to eat what i wanted but still keep to the diet.

The first thing i did was develop an enchilada recipe "low fat enchiladas with high fat taste" which got great reviews:

Then i realized the only way i could eat red meat was to eat game..well on disability its almost impossible. However since im single, i could buy the occasional pack of elk/boar/venison stew or ground that my IGA has bc it was just for me. When they ran out and didn't get any more i gathered all my nerve and went to the fine dining, 4 or 5 star restaurant in the woods near me. They have a little stoer attached and in it they also sell casseroles for 2 (15 dollars) etc. that have game

Asked the chef - who turned out to be the owner - if he would be willing to order a couple of pounds of meat with his own orders. Not only did he agree, but he sold me 10 lbs of boneless buffalo shoulder and then 14 lbs of finest butter tender denver hind venison at THEIR COST!! Shocked also 4 wild hare at 8.50 each. (as a comparison a bbq chicken at the grocery is 8 dollars)

I am now set for winter with red meat, both beef substitute - buffalo and special meat - venison, at a cost that was no more than regular meat and far far finer.

I will be eating like a queen. I made http://www.recipezaar.com/26070 as sandwiches, and also a wonderful steak for kay and myself with a special sauce this week.

They put out a cookbook and i have posted a number of their xmas nut recipes too like
