Friends Organize Facebook Page to Search for Missing NC Man

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than 33,000 people have joined a Facebook.com group searching for a missing North Carolina man last seen on Nov. 9 leaving a Charlotte bar.
A friend created the "Help Find Kyle Fleischmann" group after the 2005 Elon University graduate disappeared.
The 24-year-old Charlotte man was last seen at 2:20 a.m. on Nov. 9 leaving the Buckhead Saloon, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Activity on his cell phone ended around 4 a.m.
Nearly 34,000 people had joined the Facebook site as of Friday. It lists information about Fleischmann's last known whereabouts. The 6-foot, 180-pound man with green eyes and brown hair was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and black dress shoes.
Another Web site, HelpFindKyle.com has also been created.
"Please send this on to anyone who may know Kyle, or especially anyone in the greater Charlotte area so they can share this information with their friends and family," the Facebook site said. "Please invite others to the group and help spread the word as far as possible."
Richard Fleischmann said his son usually stays in touch with his family and that his mother is scheduled for surgery. The father says not hearing from Kyle under these circumstances is troublesome.
Noelle Fleischmann told FOX News her brother called her at 2:20 a.m. after leaving the bar, but did not leave a message. She didn't see the missed call until the morning.
He also called two of his friends at 3:30 a.m. that same morning, but again didn't leave a message, she said.
She described him as an "upbeat, outgoing guy."
"There is absolutely no reason for him to up and leave," she told FOX News. "It is completely unlike him."
Searches are planned this weekend.

Kyle Fleischmann is a 6'0", 24-year-old male with brown hair.
He has a muscular build and weighs approx. 180lbs.
Kyle was last seen early Friday morning (11/9/07) around 2:20am in Uptown Charlotte, NC leaving the Buckhead Saloon on 5th Street and College Street.
Fleischmann was wearing a black shirt, jeans, and black dress shoes.
Kyle left his black pea coat at the bar along with his credit card. There has been no usage of his bank funds since.
It is not known whether or not Kyle took a cab or tried to find a ride home.
His last contact was 3 phone calls made around 3:30am Friday morning to friends and family.
He did not leave any messages and his cell phone has been off since.
Kyle Fleischmann is a graduate of Elon University.

He is a good looking guy. It is very sad how many young people turn up missing and are either never found or are found dead.
