Suggestions for Missing Forum-Attn VC?

It would be good if whoever starts a thread about a new missing person would put that person's name in the thread, and date of being missing if possible. Especially when we get more and more involved in the case it's nice to see "Meredith Emerson" instead of "GA Hiker" (for instance). Or "another FL girl missing" etc., etc. If a poster doesn't think to do this, a mod/admin could change the thread title.

Also when a case gets more and more active, maybe we could switch to daily threads about the case, instead of titled threads. Otherwise it just gets too confusing to find something that was posted before.

VC, you know what I mean.....sort of how it's done on CTV.

The Missing forum and Crimes forum on here seem to be getting more active, I really like that. Now we just have to organize them a bit better.

Nice to see people posting on more than just the NH case.

Very good ideas, SS.

I am also glad to see people posting other than in the NH case.

Me too as there are so many cases that are out there some more current and just as news worthly whether it be an adult, child or animal they are all so important.

I like Savannah's thinking as one does get so lost in some of these threads and I thought it was just me that can't find her way around. Embarassed

Thanks Gwen!

Hope you didn't think I was singling you out! I think it's our natural reaction when we see a breaking news thing, to maybe just post the headline....I've done it myself. ...but from my experience on some other boards that solely deal with missing persons and the perhaps very LONG follow-up of the case, it's so helpful to have the person's name in the title. Especially now that we (RU) seem to more and more be branching out into other current cases.
