When I read this article, this struck me as hysterical: "When I was 4," she told an interviewer in 1994, "I was answering the phone, and (the callers) thought I was my father. So I often got quirky roles because I was never the conventional ingenue." Her voice and dry wit combined perfectly for her role as Bob Newhart's wife; and that look!

I loved her comedic acting. She always played such strong women with a sense of humor. I have a feeling she was probably like that in real life. RIP Suzanne.

On a related note, the actor who played "Sam" (the butcher and Alice's sweetie) on The Brady Bunch, also passed away.

Suzanne Pleshette was laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008. She will receive a start on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 31, 2008.
Entertainment news program The Insider filed this on-the-spot report of her funeral, which includes interviews with mourners such as "The Bob Newhart Show" co-stars Bob Newhart and Marcia Wallace, who each eulogized their beloved friend.
Mourner Tina Sinatra, who called the star "a ferocious friend" said that Pleshette was buried between the two men who adored her," and mused if they were fighting over her in now in the afterlife. Prior to her marriage to Poston, Pleshette had been married for 30 years to restaurant owner Tom Gallagher who preceded her in death in 2000.

Suzanne Pleshette will get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Associated Press - January 25, 2008 7:23 PM ET
HOLLYWOOD (AP) - Despite her death, Suzanne Pleshette's star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is going ahead as planned.
It's set for Thursday, which would have been her 71st birthday.
Pleshette died January 19th.
Her co-stars from "The Bob Newhart Show," Bob Newhart and Marcia Wallace, will speak at the ceremony.
Her friend, Tina Sinatra, will accept the star for Pleshette.
Most of the new stars are along the revitalized western stretch of Hollywood Boulevard near the Kodak Theatre. But, Pleshette requested that her star be in front of the lingerie store, Frederick's of Hollywood. That's farther east in a less desirable section of the famous street.

Unfortunately, I did not had the chance to see Suzanne Pleshette as a comedian but I remember her well in the movie "The Birds". She was very attractive.
