Florida Teen Charged With Tainting Severely Allergic Mother'
DADE CITY, Fla. — A Pasco High School student has been arrested after police say she spiked her mother's food. The girl was allegedly angry that her cell phone had been taken away for texting too much, MyFOX Tampa Bay reported.
Authorities say the 16-year-old was charged yesterday with aggravated domestic battery after her mother, 39, suffered a serious allergic reaction called "anaphylactic shock."
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says the mother told deputies she has numerous food allergies. Some are so severe that she must keep with her always an injector of epinephrine, or adrenaline, to immediately treat the shock.
According to a police report obtained by the St. Petersburg Times, the suspect's 11-year-old sister said she remembers the teen using the salt, but she said her older sister threatened to "beat her up until she was dead" if she said anything.
Authorities say the teen admitted spiking her mother's food with seasoning salt.

Don't feel bad SS, alot crazy stuff comes out of Texas also.
Good thing this girl's mother didn't die or she would be in huge trouble. I hope all kids today don't have this warped psyche. My son played a joke on me when he was little putting salt in the sugar bowl. When I tasted my coffee after I had added the doctored sugar I chased him around the house for a good 10 minutes. OH I WAS MAD. He was laughing the whole time.

I think alot of people over indulge their children (this could be compensation for not dealing with them at all) and do not teach them good morales and values. I also think that the self esteem thing is a little overboard. When you tell a child how great they are for the sake of saying it (because you want to boost the ego) and never correct them for the errors they make, it is a recipe for ONE BIG OBNOXIOUS PROBLEM. And it is hell undoing. I speak from experience because I am dealing with my step son on this very problem.
