I enjoy the contributions of you and savannah and hope you'll continue posting here. Speaking for myself, who sees merit in the opinions of the Texas Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court, all three of those accusations are false. And I don't plan to leave this forum.

Are you aware that he:
1. Forbade FLDS members to wear shorts;
2. Forbade FLDS to wear/use anything red because it represents Christ?
He was found in a red Cadillac SUV when he was arrested; he was wearing shorts. Contrary to his own edicts.

You don't need to find an article. I was aware of the fact. Did you read where I mentioned I read Carolyn Jessop's book.
You aren't following my posts very well I don't think. I talked about how this wasn't really relevant to the recent FLDS raid, and finding children who were abused, and proof thereof.

I disagree. First, this is a photo thread that pertains to anything FLDS; I didn't post the picture of him in shorts for any reason other than to show the hypocrisy of the man the parents of the children call their prophet.
Second, Warren Jeffs is critical to this discussion because it was under his leadership that many of the practices regarding young women appear to have been put into place.

Savannah - you don't give me nearly enough credit. When you aren't putting gigantic headlines on articles, I read all of your posts. You found Carolyn's book rather boring and are not particularly impressed with her; both are certainly your perogative and I do commend you for reading her book.

I understand how you feel about the hypocrisy. Do you think I DON'T disagree? 
I don't think you "get it" at all....what I believe in this case.
I'm not saying WJ is not "critical" to the discussion either....I'm saying that what YOU are saying is a blanket condemnation against ALL who are members of the FLDS because of him.
I'm just not taking your bait. I learned enough from an old friend, Myra today. I am pretty much outta here, like Woe.....

I can say in all honesty that nothing I have posted (with 2 obvious exceptions) has been intended to bait anyone. I've never really posted on a case that I felt really passionate about - I straggled into NH a year and a half ago and haven't really said much, there haven't been any other really "huge" cases since I've been here. I handled Scott Peterson completely in my living room because I didn't know that message boards existed. I am passionate about this, I don't deny it; but I have not deliberately tried to start anything. Challenge, yes; bait, no.
