Joe Tacopina and the Press
From: Page 6
DAPPER defense lawyer Joe Tacopina has switched gears to work as a journalist for ABC News' "20/20," where his first story - about a sensational sex killing in Perugia, Italy - will air Friday. "It really is a fascinating whodunit," said Tacopina about last fall's slaying of British student Meredith Kercher during a drug-fueled orgy. Kercher's roommate, Amanda Knox, is being held as a suspect, along with Knox's Italian beau. Tacopina scored an exclusive interview with the chief of the Perugia police, got cameras into the Rome Crime Lab, and analyzed the murder scene and evidence. "I think this girl's innocent," he said of Knox.

Condit's slander suit against writer dismissed
Story Highlights
Judge rules writer Dominick Dunne's comments weren't slanderous
Comments came during appearance on Larry King's show on CNN
Dunne suggested Condit was involved in intern's disappearance
Chandra Levy later found slain; congressman never implicated
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal judge has dismissed a slander lawsuit filed by former California congressman Gary Condit against author Dominick Dunne.
Condit claimed that Dunne falsely accused him on the "Larry King Live" show of involvement in the 2001 murder of government intern Chandra Levy.
U.S. District Judge Peter Leisure of New York ruled Tuesday that Dunne's 2005 comments did not rise to the level of slander.
Levy's murder remains unsolved.
Condit's ties to her, including reports he told investigators they were sexually involved, cost him his House seat in 2002.

No wonder why Joe T has not sued anybody on Jorans behalf! Anyway
I can not beleive Joe thinks Amanda had no part in the killing of her room
mate. So IMO Joe is wrong about Amanda and Joran!
