TV show about the case

There will be a TV show about the case (however all of the information in the TV show is probably contained within our forum here):

MSNBC Reveals The Secrets Of The Austrian Cellar In THE LONGEST NIGHT Premiering Sunday, July 27th At 10 P.M. ET

In May 2008, the world woke up to headlines coming from a house in a small Austrian village that sits on a quiet residential street. In the cellar of that house, a young woman named Elisabeth Fritzl was secretly imprisoned for over two decades - by her own father. It is a story that defies the human imagination. "You couldn't write this in a novel," says famed crime author, Linda Fairstein.

On Sunday, July 27th at 10 pm, MSNBC's Weekend Doc Block premieres "The Longest Night: Secrets of the Austrian Cellar" the shocking and disturbing tale of Josef Fritzl - an Austrian man who is accused of imprisoning his own daughter for 24 years, along with the children he fathered by her.

For Elisabeth Fritzl, the daughter victimized by her father, Josef, her longest night lasted an incredible 24 years - from the age of 18 to 42. During that time, Elisabeth never saw the light of day or breathed fresh air. It was also in this cellar where Elisabeth gave birth, without medical supervision, to seven children, all by her own father.

Using specially created 3-D Computer Graphics (CGI), the film gives viewers a chilling walk through the cramped and dank dungeon that Elisabeth and her children made their home. The filmmakers interview the Austrian police who broke the case and first discovered the basement prison; classmates of Elisabeth; as well as her former boyfriend and the unaware neighbors (some who lived right over the basement cell) who never suspected Fritzl. Viewers will also hear from the doctors who are now trying to help Elisabeth and her children heal-physically, mentally and emotionally. Theirs is not an easy task.
