If Obama were to apply for a job with the FBI, CIA, or a company manufacturing a top secret product for the U.S. Government, because of his past associations, activities and friends, he would not be able to get a TOP SECRET security clearance.
And yet people want to put him in the role of commander-in-chief.

Do you have true, factual data/statistics about the sex eduation/teen pregnancy programs having a real and significant result in reducing teen pregnancy and teen abortion in the last 20 years?.....
Anyone care to comment on this ? It is the policy issue brought up by the recent news over Palin's daughter.
As a libertarian I think that parents with religious concscientious objections to their children getting sex education information in government schools should be able to opt out of them.
But it's just common sense that full information about human sexuality should be part of courses in biology, adult roles in the world, etc., in high schools. And that information should not be censored by government policy for ideological reasons.

That's understandable. Are you concerned by the power of fundamentalists in your party?

P Diddy launches election crusade

Combs believes the young, black vote could decide the race
Hip-hop star Sean "P Diddy" Combs has launched a campaign to encourage more young and minority voters to turn out in the US presidential election.
He says his target audience, the 42 million 18-30 year olds and black voters, could decide the outcome.
Black voters traditionally support the Democrats, but young and minority voters vote less than other groups.
Mr Combs insists that his movement, Citizen Change, will not favour one party over another.
But a number of his advisers are Democrats including the political guru, James Carville, a key strategist for former President Bill Clinton. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3912141.stm

Democrats Release Sarah Palin's Social Security Number
The Politico has received an opposition research file from the Alaska Democrats.
In the file, the Democrats have released Sarah Palin's social security number. Also tied to the information are her various home addresses.
Back in 2005, Democrats used Michael Steele's social security number to get his credit record.
It is atrocious that the Democrats would not only seek out Sarah Palin's social security number, but release it in opposition research to the press.
We need to know who did this. We also need to know what happened. We also need to know if it was used to bolster the Democrats' opposition research.
When it happened to Michael Steele, it turns out the Democrats knew about it and did nothing.
They cannot not take action now.

Not as much as I am with Obama's ties to Al Quaeda. I don't trust Obama. If I were a democrat I wouldn't trust him. I have trusted dems of reps in the past. Not in this case however.

Biden on Palin
In addition to saying that children should be "off limits" in the campaign, Senator Biden also said that he thought Gov. Palin is qualified to be Vice President. Recall that Biden could not say Senator Obama was qualified to be President during the Democratic primaries

“Is it over for McCain ?”
Right wing talk radio host Micheal Savage condemns Palin choice as Veep.
Can a pol from the boonies handle the job of leader of the free world ?
The Republicans are in trouble when the best speech at their convention is by a registered Democrat
Excerpts from Sen. Lieberman’s Tuesday night speech:
"Sen. Obama is a gifted and eloquent young man who can do great things for our country in the years ahead. But eloquence is no substitute for a record — not in these tough times.
In the Senate he has not reached across party lines to get anything significant done, nor has he been willing to take on powerful interest groups in the Democratic Party.
Contrast that to John McCain's record, or the record of the last Democratic president, Bill Clinton, who stood up to some of those same Democratic interest groups and worked with Republicans to get important things done like welfare reform, free-trade agreements, and a balanced budget."

This whole smear against Palin is really disgusting and I think it is going to backfire big time on the Democrats...
Only if you view smears as belonging exclusively to one party, imo. In terms of policy (improving education rather than criminalizing behavior or preaching morality), I think democrats win on this issue hands (and pants ) down.

If you apply the same tenuous connections made by those rumors, one can find Al Quaeda ties to John McCain, imo.
