That's what I heard, but not first hand.
It was from someone who lives in FL, but not Orlando, and she knows someone who did go to search.
It was told to me there was mass confusion, especially the first day. |
It is a good thing 5,000 volunteers did NOT show up!

I read a couple of days ago that Tim and his group only had searched 1/3 of the 25 square miles they supposed to search. So I still wonder why they stopped...They didn't even search for 48 hours..

Hannie - I'm with you in that something sure seems hinky with Nejame and the Anthonys regarding TES.
Especially considering so much time was devoted to not talking trash about the Anthony's - rather than organizing the team leaders for the search.
I have to wonder if there weren't some threats made by the Anthony's via NeJame? Remember - that new attorney has been brought on - the one Sid told us was involved in a defamation suit in a murder case.
I just have to wonder if Tim maybe wasn't threatened with litigation if he didn't do things "their way". He had, after all, pointed a well-deserved finger at Cindy Anthony for being obstructive before. Remember - she wouldn't give TES anything of Caylee's for the search dogs to use?

From NG transcript last night:
KATHI BELICH, WFTV: What I saw were very small toys in a plastic bag. And I don`t think investigators believe they have any connection whatsoever. They left them with the divers and they did not, you know, take them along with -- well, they did take the -- they were actually rocks. What they thought were bones were actually two rocks. One was smaller than the other. I saw the larger one. It was sort of diamond- shaped. They did take those as found properties, the sheriff`s office called it. But again, they were saying it had nothing to do with (INAUDIBLE)
I'm both disappointed and glad that they weren't finger/toe bones.

Now read this, see what George has to say about Tim now???
Friends again?
This is just too weird.
http://www.cfnews13.com/News/Local/2008/11/14/dive_search_for_caylee_continues.html
Caylee's grandparents continue to believe the missing toddler is still alive.
George and Cindy Anthony were working with the Kid Finder command site in Orange County Thursday.
George said he's disappointed in Leonard Padilla's insistence on searching for a body, saying his search is in his own self-interest, not in Caylee’s interest.
“I want people always looking for my granddaughter,” said George. “I don’t want them to stop. But I think if you’re going to do something, do it in an organized way like Tim Miller did. Look how Tim was very organized. He knew exactly what he was doing day in and day out. What someone else does, they’re not very well equipped, if they don’t have the knowledge or the resources, they’re not going to be able to do a good job. The main thing, they’re not going to find my granddaughter out in the woods, in a river, in a lake, in a tree, under some kind of concrete or whatever they feel is out there. They’re not going to find her out there. My granddaughter is alive.”
Cindy said this latest incident did not phase her.
“You know, again, it didn’t phase us at all today because our gut feeling is that Caylee, from Day 1, we felt Caylee is alive and we have not faltered on that, and we will not continue to speculate on stuff that’s speculation,” said Cindy. “What we’re doing is looking for Caylee because that’s what we know in our hearts that she’s out there, and that’s the only concrete evidence that I have, and until they bring concrete evidence any other way, she’s alive and she’s out there and we’re not gonna stop looking for her.”
The family will be back out at the Kid Finders tent for a meet and greet from 9 to noon

Weired is an understatement!
I thought the dive team Padilla used yesterday was a a well respected outfit.
From waht I heard TM was NOT well organized.
I guess money does talk afterall, very loud.

First George blows smoke up Tim's ass....that's always good for Tim's ego. He dearly seems to love that.
Then George insists no one is going to find Caylee out there dead because she's alive....but they don't know the kidnapper hasn't killed Caylee by now. So what's the beef if people keep looking?
Then you have Cindy saying she was unfazed that people were searching and that she has concrete evidence Caylee is alive.
Hmph!
Did anyone notice Nancy Grace had a banner thing on her show last night that read that she was having an exclusive with George and Cindy tonight?

....................."When law enforcement asks you to take a polygraph, it's to panic you. Lee and Cindy and George (Anthony) obviously can't take a polygraph because they won't pass it. I've got no problem. I'll pass it," Padilla said...........................

What is it with Cindy and the word "concrete"? Twice in one sentence here, and it also turns up in many of her other statements. Sure, "concrete" can be used as an adjective meaning "solid"... but it's also a noun, i.e. "concrete" = "cement".
Coincidence? Or freudian slips?? Hmmm.

No I didn't miss your point. I just disagreed with it.
Ya know, I've heard rumors here and there that Tim Miller is back to drinking......that too might have a lot to do with it packing up and leaving so quickly. Like I said, I just don't think Nejames/Anthonys had any impact on that at all. When Tim WANTS to search, he searches. When he wants to pack up, he packs up. And so he did.

And couple that with George's quote from the same article. WTH?

Why would someone put rocks in a bag of toys and throw them in the water? That sounds very strange to me.

I think Tim goes more on intuition than he makes out, as well. While I am willing to give the man major props, I will not deny I disagree with him at times and question his decisions pretty adamantly. I agree with your post "absolutely".

He will be welcome there Monday - on the weekends the park is illed with families - soccer games, etc, so they thought it best that the divers take the weekend off.
