Casey Anthony Speaks Candidly About Case
'They Haven't Even Found Caylee's Clothes,' Anthony Says
Quote:
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Before Casey Anthony was indicted on charges including first-degree murder, the public caught glimpses of what she was thinking: tears at her bond hearing, a high five with brother, Lee, at the jail, but she would not answer the media's questions.
In August, bounty hunter Leonard Padilla posted her $500,000 bond. For the next 10 days, Padilla said, Anthony was plenty chatty with his associate Tracy McLaughlin.
"She would drop little statements like that when she was being driven to the attorney's office and when she was being driven back when she was with Tracy," Padilla said.
Padilla said they were remarks to rebut what was being said on TV. A lead investigator confirms that during one of those trips, Anthony blurted out "They haven't even found the clothes she was wearing" about those searching for Caylee.
That investigator called Anthony’s comment "an important statement." So does Padilla.
"Everything's been a game to her. That statement they haven't even found the clothes yet leads us to believe the clothing were somewhere but not in proximity of the body," Padilla said.
Investigators WESH 2 News spoke with agree. They confirm the clothes Caylee was last seen wearing on June 16 have not been recovered.
Investigators confirm they have gone to California and questioned McLaughlin.
She was unable to be reached for further comment.

Hmmmmmm, now why would Casey make a comment like that............. unless................Caylee's clothes were not with Caylee.
Why would she even make these strange comments to the people working for Padilla? Is she trying to play with their minds, is she trying to tell them (w/o telling them) what condition they would find Caylee in, her clothes are at the opposite ends of the earth than where her body is?
Why would she even take her clothes off?

Cindy told WKMG: "George and I and Casey and Lee will walk up to our maker and not have any problems going into the gates of heaven, because we have not done anything wrong."
How do they know they're going up and not down?
Kind of presumptuous on her part - as ususal.

Caylee's clothes could identify an extemely decomposed body.
This just makes me about the sickest that I've been in this.
She threw that baby away with no clothes on.
Stripped her down naked to make it look like something "sexual" happened to her.
That ugly, ugly, vile bitch.

From LPadilla, a little while back from today, about Caylee's clothes. Not sure it's connected to Casey's reported statement blurted out in front of Tracy McLaughlin "They haven't even found the clothes she was wearing" about those searching for Caylee, but it seems likely to be connected.
PADILLA: That`s a Cindyism. But, Nancy, let me take you back to the shovel. She (Casey) backs the car into the garage, she takes the child, lays her down, takes her clothes off, moves the ladder towards the edge of the pool, puts the child in the pool, going to make it look like a drowning.
The child drops to the bottom of the pool, she goes to the neighbors, pulls the shovel from the neighbor, comes back up, scoops the child up, puts her back down on the grass.
GRACE: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Go ahead.
PADILLA: Anyhow. All I`m saying is.
GRACE: OK. Let me just say.
PADILLA: . there is your shovel. There is your shovel.
GRACE: . one line -- the search for chloroform shows me that there was never any accident. But you`re saying that.
PADILLA: You`re correct.
GRACE: . explains.
PADILLA: She wanted to make it look like a 911 accident.
GRACE: Understood.
PADILLA: But it never happened.
GRACE: Understood. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0810/13/ng.01.html
I still say that you can't dredge up a child's dead body from the bottom of a pool with a shovel without having some mighty over-developed biceps!

The only thing I could find about witness categories was for Miami-Dade.
According to them -
Category A are generally those witnesses who have essential testimony related to the case and whose testimony is likely to be used at trial.
Category B are generally those witnesses who do not possess essential testimony related to the case and whose testimony is not likely to be used at trial.
Couldn't find a mention of Category C.

Haven't even found the clothes Caylee was wearing yet?
What an interesting comment for Casey to make.
If George had not said what Caylee was wearing when he last saw her on June 16th, Casey's remark would be moot. The cops could find clothes all over Orlando and still never know they belonged to Caylee unless George had told them what to look for.
But just because George last saw Caylee in what he described in such detail does not mean she had those clothes on when she died. However, Casey is apparently, by her comment, suggesting she did.
But since, Casey is saying the nanny took Caylee on that day, then why would there be any clothes to find that matched George's description?
Casey couldn't know if the nanny had changed Caylee's clothes. And since she said she'd spoken with this nanny several days during the time Caylee had been missing, it's not likely Casey would assume she was still wearing the clothes she had on June 16th that George described.
I personally do not believe Casey would slip up and make such a comment to Tracy. She said it deliberately, albeit stupidly, and it's telling to me in that the cause of Caylee's death was planned to be staged as if the nanny had discarded - not just that one outfit in question- but maybe other clothes as well, and maybe some diapers and sippy-cup or two and a few toys. This is probably what the Anthony's are waiting for the cops to find so they can keep up this farce about the nanny stealing the baby and being afraid she might hurt Caylee. If the bag of stuff is found, the Anthony's might even start to 'get scared' Caylee had been killed!
But if my suspicions are right, then George could be in on the Script. And the entire family is covering up an accidental backyard pool drowning.
It's beyond bizzare to think Casey would undress a dead body. It's beyond bizzare to me that she sould touch a dead body that had been decomposing especially. It's not bizzare to me that Cindy might put Caylee in some nice dress before 'burying' her.
At any rate...no way in hell Casey told Tracy anything she didn't want her to tell. Seems to me, by her statement, she was anxious for Caylee's clothes to be found so the nanny story would gain credence.

Not knowing the context of Casey's alleged statement "they haven't even found the clothes Caylee was wearing yet" makes it impossible to know what incrimation might be involved. Also, it makes a difference in credibility and accuracy that Padilla's report is second hand. He didn't hear it with his own ears; he's repeating what his operative heard and told him.
And if Casey's statement was meant to be critical of searchs for a dead Caylee while she maintains that Caylee is still alive, it doesn't have to "make sense": it's just a criticism, a critique, a dismissive statement.
But far more weighty to me is that LPadilla has a terrible track record in this case. First off he believed Caylee was alive so he bonded Casey out of jail, and most recently he was certain that Miller & TES would find Caylee's remains by last Monday, Nov 10. I'm pretty sure there are other failed predictions in between those.

However, the Chief has now gone on record that he believes Caylee is dead. So how long is Cindy going to state the line that he has only speculation that Caylee is dead?
BTW, thanks for your sense of reason about this case. Are you a lawyer? Most of us speak from emotion, but of course this case has warranted that approach. This family has been a piece of work. What is your take on my believe that Casey can be acquitted, and there would be double jeopardy though it seems that she is guilty as hell? Besides that happening would be a travesty of justice for Caylee. Do you think she will be acquitted, or charged with a lesser crime for the disappearance of Caylee? Certainly she has culpability in all this.
