I think that was the very beginning of the defense. The trial is only in session a couple days a week. The defense is still going on. As far as I know. Hopefully someone can clarify further.

I believe that was about the civil case of Patrick Lumumba and Meredith's parents against Amanda, that's why Amanda testified. All those case are intermingled somehow..
Now it is really the defense's case..

So far all I've read about is Amanda. Don't know if that's just the US press or not. It seems like the Prosecution's case is mostly about her.

I think that's basically because of the US press and Amanda being an America and Raffaele is of course Italian, DD.
But I must admit I didn't read very much on Raffaele, only that his DNA was found on Meredith's bra clasp and supposedly his bloody footprint on the bathmat, and some or one footprint of him in the hallway which surfaced with luminol.
I find this case very hard to follow, because it's bits and pieces and not all what you hear or read or can access because of the language and the different legal system...

I just cannot understand AK being in both bathrooms and not be concerned about the obvious inconsistencies. Was RS aware of the conditions AK found in those bathrooms?

It's also weird that none of her fingerprints were found in those bathrooms nor on the blowdryer she supposedly used....
I believe he was DD, because according to Amanda she noticed all those things and went to Raffaele's house and told him about it, after that they decided to go back to the house...

Giulia Bongiorno, one of Sollecito's lawyers, said that two calls made from Kercher's mobile around 10pm on November 1 last year, the night she died, locked on to a cell phone antenna some distance from the house where her body was found, close to the spot the phone was discovered abandoned the next morning.
"This proves that the calls were made by the killer after fleeing with the phone," said Bongiorno. "That means Kercher was killed before 10pm, and we can prove that Sollecito was at home at 9.46pm at his computer, using an interactive online cartoon website. That is not enough time for him to have got to Kercher's house," she said.
This was posted at InSession. No link was given. However, it confirms my earlier posts it seems RS is being used as a scapegoat by AK.

It's really hard to make sense when there is so little information to discern.
Double edged sword, isn't it? The US media (FOXNews, Nancy Grace, Greta, Jane Vallez-Mitchell, etc.) goes WAY overboard talking about cases here, not caring whether they are stating facts or not. They just make shit up.
This is how it should be. But, I sure do miss the same BS media coverage I bitch about.

I totally understand their mindset is for their sister right now, but the utter disregard for the victim and her family is gross and disgusting. Seems like the sisterrs are enjoying being tourists.
Were they paid for those pics and interviews? IMO, they most likely are. Otherwise, the Family would not be able to afford this expensive trial and travel.
AK went to Italy alone, supported by her Family. Now, when AK gets involved in a crime, they want to pretend she is just an innocent little girl.
Meredith Kercher's Family is seeing this. The jury is seeing this. They aren't idiots. AK comes across as having a sense of entitlement. Impossible to pretend it's a misconception when AK's Family is portraying it as well.

Unreal. They wore this to court. In Italy. They didn't bother asking what's appropriate attire. If Amanda's innocent I hope she's acquitted. But geez, show some respect.
The behaviour of Knox’s sisters was criticised earlier in the case when they attended court wearing shorts and ‘revealing’ tops. One observer in court at the time said: ‘It’s not what I would choose to wear if my sister was in court accused of a sex murder. It was very revealing.’

This is not appropriate attire in US courts either. AK's Family is a hindrance to her defense. They show up in court showing total disregard for Italian folkways or those of the Kercher Family. How can a jury be expected to believe a defendant knew appropriate behavior was not disrespecting someone else through their torturous death?
AK's Family is not helping her defense.
AK's Family may be the saving grace of proving justice for Meredith.
Although, it does not matter what so-called justice is served, it will not replace anything Meredith's Family and others who loved are going through.

Though they are being tried together for the same charges, I'm pretty sure they will be judged separately and could be given different sentences.
