Clay Aiken allegations
In January 2006 Paulus alleged that he had a sexual encounter with pop-star Clay Aiken. In addition, Paulus insists that he previously had a sexual encounter with another much more well known celebrity.
Paulus claims to have been first approached via the internet by Aiken who had seen Paulus' pictures on BigMuscle.com. Paulus then claims that, after communicating for some time, he and Aiken agreed to meet at a North Carolina hotel and a sexual encounter occurred between the parties. Paulus further claimed to have retained evidence to corroborate this encounter in the form of instant message transcripts and a "washcloth" stained with Aiken's DNA.[2] During a later interview with Howard Stern, Paulus described the item he kept as a "towel".
The National Enquirer, Star Magazine, and The Globe tabloid newspapers published interviews with Paulus, and other publications such as The New York Post [3] and The New York Daily News [4] reported on the story in their gossip columns. In its own investigation of the claims, the National Enquirer reported that they had Paulus sit for a polygraph examination which he allegedly passed, and also reported that they had discovered two other unnamed gay men who claimed internet-initiated encounters with Aiken that did not result in sexual acts.
On February 9, 2006 Paulus was an in-studio guest on The Howard Stern Show, where he was interviewed live regarding his sensational claims and provided graphic details of the alleged encounter that had not previously been printed. These included the claim that he and Aiken engaged in unsafe sex, and a description of generic characteristics of Aiken's genitalia. [5].
On February 10, 2006, Paulus' sister, Tina, attempted to corroborate certain elements of his claims in an interview with the Bob and the Showgram show broadcast on radio station WDCG-FM in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. During that interview, she stated that she had become estranged with her brother after she had inadvertantly shared information with the National Enquirer not previously revealed to the tabloid by him. She further admitted that her first-hand knowledge was limited to other corroborating information, and not to the sexual acts alleged. [6]
After his story became public, Paulus claims that he started getting threatening emails and calls to him and his workplace. [7]
In March 2006 The National Enquirer and Star Magazine published follow up articles to Paulus' claims that purported to include internet chat and webcam pictures Aiken allegedly sent via the internet to another man. [8]
In May 2006 the Post Chronicle online newspaper published an article questioning the truthfulness of Paulus' allegations. The article references sources that allege proof that the IMs are faked, evidence that the webcam pics have been photoshopped, and states that Aiken was known to be out of state on the date of the alleged meeting. [9]
Aiken has consistently denied he is gay. To date, Aiken and his representatives have neither acknowledged or denied the claims in Paulus' story, and instead have relied on "no comment". Star Magazine's article did include the following response from Aiken's representative: "Clay's on a flying saucer with his alien parents, busy kidnapping monkeys. We cannot comment till he gets home to Pluto." [10]

As far as posting your name...blame that on yourself...you used it for your yahoo messenger name...hence the reason for it showing up as it did. You don't know to create an alias? My pictures, including my kids, were on a flickr site. I guess that means I voluntarily gave them to you. Do I need to worry about you posting pictures of my kids now, and my brother and my dogs?
You found out my name a long time ago and it wasnt me who told you. You also looked up my divorce decree and property settlement from 10 years ago. And I'm not the only person you've "researched." Right?

Huh? I have no idea what "RWV/Dan crowd did." I dont remember Dan or his minions posting anyone's pictures or names--even if they could be dug up on the internet. Are you suggesting it's OK to publish personal info about an anonymous poster as long as the info was obtained legally? If that's the case, you're as insane as Walter. In any event, VC and joy have said it's not acceptable. But I'm sure you can go to your own forum and publish whatever your conscience directs. Who knows, maybe there are consequences and maybe there arent. I think seedy's site was shut down for exactly that kind of activity.

Walter said he had gotten my name months ago and I dont know where he got it but it wasnt from me. I specifically asked him not to reveal it when I learned he knew my name. Nevertheless, he posted it publicly at RWV.
Yes, my picture was part of a flickr site and if someone knew my name I guess they could have gotten to the site. Bottom line--irrespective of where someone obtains information, it is how the information is used that is the issue. When used to harass or torment or threaten or intimidate someone, as it was in my case--there's a big problem if you know what I mean.
