It's illuminating that probable cause infuriates some people.

Diandra said that this would not be true; only instructions from god that go through the prophet can make changes.

Louisa Bradshaw Jessop feels he was unjustly charged/imprisoned - and that he is "perfect."

BTW - the second-in-command prophet, Merrill Jessop, has vanished. *poof* Maybe he's CIA or something and they called him on short notice? Or maybe he doesn't want to spend so much time with Warren?

I wonder if the second-in-command prophet only hears from god? Evil or Very Mad

First none of them hear from God, the only thing God would want to say to them is give them the directions straight to hell. Laughing

I've always spelled God "god" in my posts - I totally agree with you, Katie.

So who knew after all this time it could have been so so easy to stop phucking young girls.

All they had to do was set a policy... Rolling Eyes Could have done that ages ago...Evil or Very Mad

Maybe they can set another policy not to throw away young boys like yesterday's garbage just because they have too much competition Evil or Very Mad

Well, according to spokesman Willie Jessop, the instructions as to age may not have come from god but were authorized by an equally unreachable (by normal means) source, Joseph Smith.

FLDS makes concessions regarding plural marriage rules
The Salt Lake Tribune
Article Last Updated: 06/03/2008 01:27:36 AM MDT

For nearly 10 years, the FLDS withstood government pressure and refused to make any public concession on its marriage practices. That changed Monday when the polygamous sect released a four-paragraph statement vowing to abide by marriage age laws in all states. Spokesman Willie Jessop read the declaration, saying it had been issued by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Asked who authorized it, Jessop said, "Joseph Smith." He also said he was unaware if FLDS leader Warren S. Jeffs had any hand in crafting the statement. Here is the statement:
* The church's policies regarding marriage have been widely misrepresented and misunderstood. Indeed, much of the misinformation circulating on this subject seems designed intentionally to fuel the flames of prejudice against the church.
* The church's practices in this regard continue a long tradition of marriage in this country that would have been found to have been unremarkable in 19th century America. In the FLDS church all marriages are consensual. The church insists on appropriate consent, including that of the woman and the man in all circumstances.
* Nevertheless the church is clarifying its policy toward marriage. Therefore, in the future, the church commits that it will not preside over the marriage of any woman under the age of legal consent in the jurisdiction in which the marriage takes place. The church will counsel families that they neither request nor consent to any underage marriages. This policy will apply church-wide.
* The church believes in purity, cleanliness, and innocence. Our children and families are the cornerstones of our lives and our religion. We hope that this modest clarification in policy will alleviate recent concerns and allow the church and its families to reside in peace among our neighbors.

Well that is a very interesting "clarification" although it reads more like an out and out reversal in policy. We know there have been underage marriages going on .. age 11 I believe one report said. No clarification needed on that.

So I dont get it -- if only the prophet can receive revelations on "policy" (i.e., doctrine) how can Willie say that he doesnt know if Warren gave this command. Maybe Willie's lying Wink

Wasn't Joseph Smith the big Prophet with a capital "P"? Maybe this is such a big revelation that present day prophets are being bypassed. Very Happy

Hmm you may be on to something. Or maybe .....the whole religion is a scam. Joseph Smith has a revelation that only the prophet can receive revelations so he can keep his competition down. Warren has a revelation that his word must be followed 100% or your salvation is lost...so he can practice his pedophilia without challenge. Willie doesnt want to go to jail so presto chango it's suddenly possible to change doctrine wiithout a revelation. Is this not enough to make those FLDS realize it's all a bunch of crap and always has been? What are they going to do when Warren gets another revelation to marry a child? I'm picturing the femme bots on austin powers blowing q circuit ..
