those trips to jersey shores were big things back then...drinking age in PA was 21...in NJ was 18. Everyone would head to Jersey to be "legal". Course, there were no casinos then. Could spend hours on the boardwalk.

Sounds like it.  I was closer to the MD legal drinking line though. It was 18 there at the time. Mountain Liqours...that old guy..if you crawled to the counter with money and a fake ID he'd sell it to you. On weekends..the one road leading over the state line looked like vacationers going to the shore.

Looks like in my neck of the woods today, except there are a lot of those put together fake old cars that are all either painted cherry red or black with flames! Like the vacationers aren't bad enough, we have about 5 million of these things cruising around slowing up traffic...lol.

Also when they raise counters so high when you are trying to write a check? I told someone the other day, "You should lower the counter farther away from my eyes or I can't write a check here anymore"! And this was in full daylight! lol

Pathenry..this is our wooden roller coaster, built in 1958  goes 45 mph on it's steepest run...I went on it once, never gone on since! LOL
