I wandered over to the KKKlan to see if I could find something to help kick-off the new monKKKey cage thread. Nothing new over there. They're still defending George W. Bush, bashing Clinton and Obama (and linking Obama with Rev. Wright), and salivating over traffic fatalities on Aruba. At least we have a really cool Kentucky Derby tradition going.

Of all the very strange things they do, this might rise to the top as beyond sick, at least in my eyes.

I'm just glad frrp doesn't show up that often... Well, I dunno. The derailing and degrading is rather annoying, but it can always be humorous, i.e. Barf's siggy! Laughing

In the above I meant Urine, not BS.

Nancy Grace is planning a 3 year anniversary segment to Natalee. She is sending a film crew down to get more footage of the backside of Paul.

I guess Nancy reads her mail.

the 3 yr anniversary is coming up…..this is the letter/email i’ve been sending to every TV network/station I can find, national and local. if everyone would take a minute to do the same maybe they would do a special anniversary for natalee.

“KEEP THE LIGHT BURNING: JUSTICE FOR NATALEE

The 3 year anniversary of the rape/murder/disappearance of American citizen Natalee Holloway is fast approaching (May). While most of the American news channels have done stories on this tragedy in the early days of the crime, most have let it fall by the wayside. The news media would report on this tragedy in the early stages when it was “big news” and they could boost their ratings. Now that is has died down. I feel that it is imperative that we as Americans and American news media keep Natalee’s story alive and never let it die until justice is served. she was an American citizen, one of our own. She could have been anyone’s daughter, even one of my own two daughter; or YOURS. I can only imagine the grief and frustration, let alone the heart break, that both Beth and Dave Holloway have had to endure. Most of all the frustration of not knowing what really happened to their daughter and the Aruban government covering up and even destroying vital information that was pertinent to solving this crime. Even a confession by the prime suspect did not make the Aruban government move forward on the case. Too many lies and unanswered questions still remain. Where is Natalee? We need the answer. This is where the news media’s responsibility comes into play.

Please consider doing a 3 year anniversary program in May with a prime time news special, not just for Natalee but for everyone who has a daughter who could at any time be in the same situation that Natalee was.”

"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel" - Samuel Johnson

"Stuff happens" - D.Rumsfeld

What beats me is the constant implicit assumption that "keeping it in the media" will somehow, in and of itself, bring forth answers. If being huge in the media actually solved cases then this one would be long resolved and closed. The Natalee Holloway case has had more media than even the Lindburg kidnapping got in its day, yet it hasn't solved a damn thing.

On November 10, 2005, Paulus van der Sloot won an unjust detention action against the Aruban government, clearing him as a suspect and allowing him to retain his government contract.[59] The elder Van der Sloot then brought a second action, seeking monetary damages for himself and his family because of his false arrest.[135][136] The action was initially successful, but the award of damages was reversed on appeal.[137]

So I guess one judge most likely a friend of Pauls cleared him. Yet when more than 1 judge was involved they said no. Wonder if the judge who cleared him was the same one relased j2k and stop the house search?

No, that isn't what happened. Paul was cleared as a suspect, but the court of appeals decided that he could not be rewarded damages as the reasons for his arrest fell in the legal lines of suspicion.

The threshold of suspicion for an arrest is low, which made his arrest legal therefore no damages rewarded.

GVC's, Steve Croes' own mouths got them arrested.

There was significant suspicion about the SG's also.

Jaimie and Guido suspicious due to association.

Aruba is not America All10. Aruba doesn't reward people for spilling hot coffee all over themselves.

Jaimie and Guido suspicious due to association.

Why can't the same be said about Koen and Sanders?

Maybe their level of suspicion was much higher and it would be a shame to make an arrest without enough evidence to hold them, unlike Jamie, Freddy and Guido who were not really that suspicious and most likely easier to break and rat the others out if they indeed knew more.

The legal arrests of Jaime, Freddy, Guido were not fruitful against any of the suspects, much less Koen and Sander. Each time an arrest is made, the threshold goes higher. Arresting Koen and Sander on suspicion alone, would make it more difficult for a future arrest.
