Casey Anthony To Be Questioned On Hidden Income, How She Has Been Supporting Herself

June 6, 2012

Casey Anthony will be forced to answer under oath what the sources are for the income she has been living on since being acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Anthony is being sued by Zanaida Gonzalez for defamation after Casey claimed a woman with that name kidnapped Caylee. The defamation trial is scheduled to begin in January, and Anthony will be called as a witness by Zanaida's lawyers.

"Casey will asked by Zenaida's lawyers if she has a book deal, and if she has been paid an advance, if she has a television, movie, or media deal or if she has a benefactor supporting her," a source close to the case tells RadarOnline.com. "She will be forced to answer who has given her money and how she has been able to live for the past year without having a job . This will be important for the jury to hear because Zanaida is seeking unspecified damages."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, in her last probation report Anthony claimed she is unemployed and has no income whatsoever.

According to reports, Anthony is annoyed that she has to testify at the upcoming tria,l but Zenaida's lawyer minces no words, saying Anthony has only herself to blame.

"Too bad! Yes, we heard that Ms. Anthony was annoyed that she was going to have to testify at the trial," John Dill, Gonzalez's attorney previously told RadarOnline.com. "This was all brought on by Ms. Anthony herself, she is the one that started down this road and it's time that she be held to answer for her actions. Zenaida's life has been absolutely upended by Ms. Anthony's actions, so, no, I don't feel bad that she is upset. Again, she brought this all on herself."

The infamous "Tot Mom" wants to leave Florida as soon as legally possible and is eyeing a move to the central American paradise of Costa Rica. Anthony has been in hiding in Florida since she was acquitted, but has recently been making forays back out in to the public, virtually unrecognizable due to the amount of weight she has gained. Anthony is currently on probation for one year after pleading guilty to writing bad checks and is required to live in Florida. Once Casey's probation ends later this summer, she plans on ditching the sunshine state for Costa Rica.

A fund has been established to help pay for Zanaida Gonzalez's legal fees, and donations can be made online Dill also said that Casey's mom, Cindy Anthony, would most likely be called as a witness at the trial.

Casey Anthony's Journals Could Be Made Public During Upcoming Trial

June 12, 2012 | 6:45am EDT

Casey Anthony has been keeping a journal since she was locked up for the death of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, and there is a possibility that her deepest thoughts could now be made public, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As we previously reported, Anthony has been in hiding in Florida since she was acquitted of murder, but has recently been making forays back out in to the public, virtually unrecognizable due to the amount of weight she has gained.

Zenaida Gonzalez, currently embroiled in a legal battle with Casey, is suing her for defamation after the notorious Tot Mom told cops that a woman with a similar name to Gonzalez's had kidnapped Caylee.

"Casey is going to be grilled by Zenaida's lawyers about her journals because they believe that Zenaida is mentioned in them and that is relevant information that the jury needs to hear," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "Zenaida's lawyers could ask that Casey's journals be admitted into evidence so the jury could read and review during jury deliberations. It's expected that Casey's attorneys are going to vehemently oppose that line of questioning and any action to get Casey's journals in front of the jury."

Casey was charged with killing her daughter and was acquitted by a jury last year. A jury of six people must come to a unanimous decision on a verdict under Florida law in the civil trial.

Gonzalez's lawsuit against Anthony is expected to go to trial in January 2013.

Casey Anthony Will Be Forced To Answer Key Questions About Daughter Caylee's Death

June 28, 2012 | 6:00am EDT

Casey Anthony will be forced to answer key questions about her daughter Caylee's death, despite the notorious Tot Mom's legal maneuvers to avoid doing so, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Casey for defamation after the Florida mom told cops that a woman with a similar name had kidnapped Caylee. During Casey's deposition in the proceedings last year, she refused to answer many of the questions posed by Gonzalez's lawyer, and invoked the fifth amendment against self-incrimination because she is appealing her conviction for lying to law enforcement.

Casey's lawyers formally filed the appellate brief in the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County, Florida on June 11, and Gonzalez's lawyers believe that this will help their case.

"She [Casey] has just filed her initial brief. If she wins her appeal and the charges are thrown out, then there is no fifth amendment privilege and we expect her to talk at trial," John Dill, one of the lawyers repping Gonzalez told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

"If she loses her appeal, we believe she will have to talk as well because there is no criminal charge pending. So resolution of her appeal one way or the other is helpful to us."

The crux of Casey's appeal for lying to cops is that she was never given her Miranda rights when she was arrested on suspicion of murdering Caylee.

"The record establishes that the Appellant was placed under arrest, never Mirandized, and subsequently interrogated. Either the statements occurred at the Appellant's residence or Universal Studios. At both locations, the Appellant was in custody...At Universal Studios, the Appellant was in custody, placed in a small room for questioning by three members of law enforcement, confronted with evidence against her for an extended period of time, and never informed of her rights under Miranda," the court docs state.

"In either scenario, the Appellant's statements were involuntary and therefore, the lower court erred in denying the Appellant's motion to suppress."

Team Anthony contends jurors never should have heard those statements from Casey during the murder trial of Caylee, and that her conviction for lying to cops be tossed.

Meanwhile, Casey has been unable to land a book deal because publishers are afraid of the backlash from the public.

"Casey's camp have been in talks with major publishers in New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and the response has been lukewarm at best. All of the publishers have expressed reluctance to work with Casey Anthony because of the anticipated backlash from the public," a source close to the situation exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

"Casey was recently voted one of the most hated people in the United States, and the publishers are aware of this. Casey has a story to tell, and wants to get it out there, but it's looking like it's going to be a laborious process to lock down a deal for her."

Gonzalez's lawsuit against Casey is expected to go to trial in January 2013, and she will be forced to testify.

Lawyer Warns Casey Anthony To Show Up At Civil Trial, Or Face Jail Again!

June 29, 2012 | 7:00am EDT

The lawyer, representing the woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation, is warning the infamous Tot Mom that if she doesn't appear for her testimony during her civil trial, she could be held in criminal contempt, which could send her back to jail, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Casey for defamation after the Florida mom told cops that a woman with a similar name had kidnapped her missing daughter Caylee.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Anthony will be forced to answer key questions about Caylee's disappearance and death under oath during the civil trial which is scheduled to begin in January 2013 --something she is vehemently opposed to.

Anthony was deposed briefly last year, and despite the court allowing her testimony to be videotaped so she did not have to appear in person, she wore a wacky disguise throughout the proceedings and refused to answer the majority of the questions.

Anthony's lawyers have said it isn't safe for their client to appear in public, leading some pundits to predict she won't attend the civil trial. However, Gonzalez's lawyer, John Dill has issued a stern warning to the Florida woman.

"Casey Anthony could potentially be held in criminal contempt if she fails to appear," Dill tells RadarOnline.com. "I wouldn't tempt this judge if I were her."

Under Florida law, the judge has sole discretion to determine what the sentence is for contempt of court and jail time is one resolution if someone is convicted of the charge.

Meanwhile, Casey has been unable to land a book deal because publishers are afraid of the backlash from the public.

"Casey's camp have been in talks with major publishers in New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and the response has been lukewarm at best. All of the publishers have expressed reluctance to work with Casey Anthony because of the anticipated backlash from the public," a source close to the situation previously told RadarOnline.com.

"Casey was recently voted one of the most hated people in the United States and the publishers are aware of this. Casey has a story to tell and wants to get it out there, but it's looking like it's going to be a laborious process to lock down a deal for her."

Casey Anthony's civil hearing to begin Aug. 28

UPDATED 3:04 PM EDT Aug 16, 2012

ORLANDO, Fla. -One week from today Casey Anthony is due to be released from a year of check fraud probation.

An Aug. 28 hearing is now set in Anthony's civil case.

Attorneys for the woman suing her for defamation, Zenaida Gonzalez, want to know if Anthony's parents have been funneling money to her from their foundation received in connection with an appearance on the "Dr. Phil" television show.

Anthony's lawyers objected, saying that information is irrelevant to the case.

Gonzalez claims Anthony ruined her life when she told authorities a nanny by the same name kidnapped her daughter, Caylee.

Anthony was acquitted of killing 2-year-old Caylee in July 2011. She has since been serving one year of probation in a check fraud case.

Zenaida Gonzalez accused of selling alcohol to teens

Gonzalez suing Casey Anthony for defamation

Published On: Aug 17 2012 11:34:44 PM EDT
Updated On: Aug 19 2012 04:04:05 PM EDT

Zenaida Gonzalez, the woman who is suing Casey Anthony for defamation was arrested in Orlando Friday night.

Police said Gonzalez is accused of giving alcohol to someone under 21. Her bond was set at $250.

According to an arrest report, Gonzalez was working at the Circle K food mart that is connected to the Shell gas station on Semoran Boulevard and Stonewall Jackson, just south of the 408 Friday night. Teenage customers tried to buy a can of Four Loco, an alcoholic energy drink, and Gonzalez asked for their I.D., but did not actually check their ages.

A representative from the Circle K said Gonzalez is now out of a job.

Gonzalez shares a similar name as a fictitious baby sitter -- Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez -- whom Anthony initially said kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter in 2008. At Anthony's murder trial last summer, Anthony's defense claimed Caylee drowned in the family's swimming pool and, therefore, had not been abducted. Caylee's remains were found in December 2008.

Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation.

Gonzalez is accused of selling a can of Four Loko to an 18-year-old at the Circle K gas station at Semoran Boulevard and Stonewall Jackson Road.

The 41-year-old spent Friday night locked up in the Orange County Jail.

Casey Anthony denied request to move civil trial out of Orange County

Last Updated: Tuesday, November 06, 2012, 7:29 PM

ORLANDO -- A judge has denied a motion from Casey Anthony’s lawyers to move her civil trial outside of Orange County.

Judge Lisa Munyon issued the order denying the motion Tuesday afternoon without prejudice, allowing for it to be re-visited if a “fair and impartial jury cannot be selected in Orange County within a reasonable time.”

Attorneys for Casey said in a hearing Oct. 30 they wouldn’t be able to get a fair trial in the civil defamation case against because of the attention it has received.

Casey was sued by Zenaida Gonzalez, who said her life was negatively impacted when Casey lied to investigators about a made-up nanny with the same name who kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008.

Casey Anthony was acquitted on charges related to the death in July 2011.
