Mason must be pulling his hair out. Pundits are mentioning more that had Mason heard these tapes he would have never allowed them in, because he is a top attny.
Also, more mentioning of a possible competency of attny appeal if found guilty.

More testimony - the afternoon session just started. Ms. McBryde is testifying right now on going to the tow yard and getting the bag of car garbage , that was thrown in the dumpster.

CSI Bloise is now testifying about the hair found in the trunk.
With the prior witness, it sounds like the defense is trying to discredit the CSI forensics due to contamination. Baez has not said that yet but by his cross you can tell he is heading in that direction.

Oh my giddy aunt...What law school did Biaz attend? Cause he sure doesn't seem to know the law very well. The prosecutor was helping mark in his little book the evidence that was being put into the trial. Is that normal?

Casey Anthony threatened to hang up on a jailhouse conversation with her parents when her clearly distraught mother begs Casey for any information that can help them find 2-year-old Caylee.
During the call, Casey Anthony complains that no one is treating her like a victim.
The taped conversation was one of three submitted as evidence today in Casey Anthony's first degree murder trial, and each of the tapes reveal George and Cindy Anthony as emotionally exhausted but still determined to find their granddaughter Caylee. The tapes are from August 2008, weeks into the search for the missing toddler.
"I'm not doing well...Lee's [Casey Anthony's brother] been sick...Dad's blowing up at the media...somebody just said that Caylee's dead, she drowned in the family pool," said Cindy Anthony in a jailhouse conversation on Aug.14, 2008.
Casey Anthony coolly responds to the reports that Caylee drowned by saying, "Surprise, surprise."
At the time of the conversation, Casey Anthony was sticking to her lie that a nanny kidnapped her daughter. Her defense team now claims that Caylee did drown in the family pool on June 16, 2008, a month before she was reported missing. The prosecution claims the 25-year-old woman killed her daughter.
George Anthony continued to believe his daughter during the jailhouse phone call, telling her, "Hey sweetheart...I want you to know you are the boss through the whole thing...if something's not being done or being said, you can make the change."
Casey Anthony, clearly feeling sorry for herself, insists that she can't offer any help from a jail cell.
"I've been in here [jail] a month out of contact with everyone...do you understand? What am I supposed to learn from that...you guys are not understanding my side from this and I'm sorry," Casey Anthony said.
George and Cindy Anthony's insistent questions to Casey Anthony about what she knows or remembers that could help in the search for Caylee only infuriates their daughter.
"I'm going to have to hang up and just walk away because I'm frustrated and I'm angry...This is the first time I've truly been angry this entire time," Casey Anthony tells her parents.
Casey Anthony tells her parents that she has to focus on the case the police are building against her.
"You guys have each other, you're sitting next to dad, you still have [her brother] Lee...You're taking for granted the fact that I have no one to comfort me," Casey Anthony complains.
"I need to be looked at as a victim because I'm just as much a victim as the rest of you and it hasn't been portrayed that way," she says.
Cindy Anthony appears so fragile in the tape, she collapses onto her husband's shoulder. She also rocks back and forth, holding her head. The parents, wearing matching t-shirts bearing a message to Caylee on them, try to calm their combative daughter.
"Our focus has to be finding Caylee," Cindy Anthony tells her.
In another conversation, taped the week Caylee would have turned 3, her father describes how frail Cindy Anthony has become and apologizes to his daughter for not always listening to her.
"This is destroying your mother. She hurts so much...maybe we've all been too domineering. Maybe we didn't let you be the best mom," George Anthony said.
Casey Anthony insists she can't help in the search from jail and her dad apologizes for not being able to bail her out of jail.
"Mom and I have done everything financially we can to help with this. If we could do more, we would. I've even reached out to relatives and that's hard to ask," he tells her.
Her parents stick by their daughter, comforting her about the increasing public perception that she had something to do with Caylee's disappearance.
"You've got to have faith in everything...pictures are being painted that's looking tough," George Anthony said.
"I told you in my gut, she's still ok...I can feel it...We're going to get our little girl back...I'm going to be the crazy, overprotective mom," Casey Anthony said.

I managed to miss all of today, unfortunately. In fact, I just got home. Did I miss anything earth shattering I should start looking for? 
I am guessing from Fashionista's post, the rest of the jail videos, including the one Casey's flips out in, were played. And how did the defense handle that one?!?!

Casey Anthony’s lies to her family in jailhouse tapes from 2008 were devastating to her case, TV analysts agreed tonight.
“The jury’s not going to like her much for that,” WFTV-Channel 9 legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said tersely.
“The cumulative effect of this is starting to really wear on the defense, and it’s going to wear on her,” said veteran attorney Jeff Deen, who was supplying analysis for WESH-Channel 2. The jailhouse tapes of caring George Anthony talking to Casey undermine the defense’s allegation that he had sexually abused his daughter, Deen added.
Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera told WOFL-Channel 35 that the jailhouse tapes may not seal Anthony’s fate but they ”portray her as a pathological liar, a narcissist, self-involved, selfish.”
The crucial moment in the tapes, Rivera said, was Anthony’s dismissing the idea that Caylee drowned — which her attorney now says is what happened. ”She hurt herself severely with these tapes,” Rivera said. “Clearly, today was a good day for the prosecution.”
Yet Rivera repeated a familiar theme for him: There’s “no way” they will get a capital-murder conviction because “the prosecutor in Orange County overreached.” And Rivera called the case against Anthony “fatally flawed.” Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
WESH’s Bob Kealing said that through the tapes “the prosecution has shown Casey Anthony at her worst, lying at will, spewing profanities at the people who were trying to help her find Caylee.”
How did the 2008 video visits go over with the jurors?
“They were taking a lot of notes,” Kealing said. “We caught a number of jurors reacting, especially to Casey’s constant self-pity inside the jail.” Two female jurors smirked at Anthony’s whining, and a male juror shook his head when Anthony quoted the Bible, Kealing added.
Anthony seemed “transfixed” when she watched the tapes of herself, WFTV’s Kathi Belich said. “She avoided eye contact with jurors, but some stole glances at her as they watched her lie to her family time and again,” Belich added.
WKMG-Channel 6’s Tony Pipitone focused on the close bond between Casey Anthony and her father suggested by a jailhouse tape.”So remember the jurors are looking at these two, father and daughter, and saying, ‘These are the two who conspired and who knew that Caylee had been drowned?’ It doesn’t quite fit,” Pipitone said of another allegation that Jose Baez made in his opening statement.
How to explain Anthony’s behavior?
WESH’s Amanda Ober talked to a Winter Park mental health counselor who said that Anthony could believe the lies that she’s saying. “Any time anyone is going to lie elaborately, there’s going to be a line someone crosses along the way where they do believe what they’re saying,” Monica Taffinder said. “They have to believe what they’re saying or else they can’t pull it off.”
In the afternoon, crime scene investigator Gerardo Bloise of the sheriff’s office testified that he smelled human decomposition when he opened the driver’s side door to Casey’s car. But WKMG’s Pipitone said he couldn’t smell anything when the trunk liner was displayed in court today. ”It has been in a box for nearly three years,” Pipitone added.
The prosecution revealed this afternoon that its case should take two more weeks and is likely to end June 17.

Yeah, I don't think those jailhouse recordings incriminated Baez anymore than his normal courtroom actions do. When he opens his mouth he incriminates himself. And the looks he gives the witnesses, along with the lack of respect for all present even the judge is disgraceful. He tried to correct the judge today when the prosecutor objected to something. He thought he could just explain himself in open court and then disregard the objection. The judge gave him a spanking again today.

Beasley’s Role in the Casey Anthony Case
Beasley was in charge of evidence collection as a detective for the domestic crimes unit in 2008, assisting Detective Yuri Melich in collecting evidence at the Anthony home.
On July 16th she collected items from the Anthony’s Orlando home on Hopespring Drive. These items included a white Pontiac Sunfire vehicle and a laptop computer. Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony's mother, provided other items in a blue plastic crate, including a doll, a child’s backpack, and a black leather bag.
The car was towed to a forensic lab after Beasley sealed the vehicle doors and trunk with evidence tape. Beasley followed the tow truck from Hopespring Drive to the forensics bay where she turned the items over to crime scene investigator Gerardo Bloise.

After Detective Charity Beasley was questioned by both state prosecutors, Cheney Mason, who serves on Casey Anthony’s defense team, conducted a contentious cross examination.
Cheney Mason: When you went to Hopespring Drive were you aware of the activities that occurred there?
Charity Beasley: I knew it was an active investigation for a missing child. (Beasley looks at the jury.)
Cheney Mason: I am over here. (Judge Perry shakes his head at Mason.)

Cheney Mason, P.A., the lawyer is “Board Certified by both The Florida Bar and the Board of Trial Advocacy as a Criminal Trial Lawyer.” Mason defended the notorious diaper-wearing astronaut, Lisa Norwak, during her assault and kidnapping trial in Orlando, and got her off with a year’s probation. Cheney Mason has proclaimed to the media that he is ”going to walk out of the courtroom with Casey Anthony arm in arm” at the end of her trial for premeditated first-degree murder.
If that is the case, this observer has to wonder about his strategy with the jury. At no time was Detective Charity Beasley anything but professional and scrupulously polite. If she addressed the jury, while answering Counselor Mason’s questions, that is her prerogative. Berating a law enforcement employee for doing her job, and scanning the jury for clarity, is not going to win Cheney Mason any points with said jury, and, more importantly, for the client he has vowed to exonerate.

We first got a glimpse of Casey Anthony’s attorney, Cheney Mason’s arrogance and overblown opinion of himself when he announced to the press that he was” going to walk out of the courtroom with Casey arm and arm” with her being a free woman .
But now we have seen a full-blown picture of Cheney Mason up close and personal . We have seen his verbally abusive, arrogant and childish behavior, especially towards Orlando 9’s star reporter Kathy Belich.
Interviewed by a group of Orlando reporters, Cheney was first asked, “What do you expect here today?” His attempt to come across as humorous fell flat, as he sarcastically replied “Lets see. I expect it to rain and you get caught in it. “
He was then asked “Which experts are gonna be here today?”
As soon as he replied “ Besides myself?”it just conformed to me what I saw all along. The man appears to me to be completely ego driven and full of himself. He clearly sees himself as the top legal expert here.
Then Orlando 9’s Kathy Belich who is an excellent and thorough reporter asked him the legitimate question, “Do you think Henry Lees problems with the Spector case is going to cause problems? “
Instead of answering a simple “No” or “Not at all” He got very defensive. He rushed past the reporters as his whole physical demeanor changed. He was now wearing an angry scowl as opposed to his previous smug, arrogant smile.
As he rushed away he replied what sound like “ Shhh” stopping himself short of continuing what he perhaps really wanted to say- “ Shit”.
He then said in a sassy school boy defensive sounding tone “ No . I Think YOUR problems are causing problems.”
WHAT???? This school boy tone from an alleged seasoned criminal attorney?
Kathy couldn’t believe her ears either. S o she loudly asked “What was that now?” Cheney ignored her and entered the building.
Since the comment was directly leveled against Kathy Belich, she promptly did what any good reporter would do and followed Cheney into the building . She was the only reporter who followed him into the building and understandably so. She heard Cheney make a hostile comment directed at her and she wanted to follow up.
As she stood in back of him she asked “ You don’t think it will cause trouble?” She realized Cheney was getting out his ID and following the procedures of the Sherriff’s Department. So she stood quietly behind Cheney until he completed his business with the reception desk.
Then she spoke up and asked “ Are you worried about that ? That the problems …”
Cheney then turned to her and replied in a childish cadence like something you would her on a grade school playground during recess, “ I worry about YOU- that YOU’RE always bothering me.”
Kathy rightfully asks in a calm and professional tone "Why do you worry about that ?”
Cheney replied with his back turned to Kathy in a defensive tone” You’re always bothering people.”
Kathy calmly replied “ I’m just doing my job.”
Then like an immature child with his continued to be turned against Kathy he replied” I don’t intend on answering your question. They are always too STUPID!”
As a professional Kathy continues to ask “ Do you think that’s the reason the judge insisted that the Sherrif’s department videotape your search of the evidence because of the problems?”Cheney’s knee jerk reaction was “You have to ask the judge.” Then he got angry and said” No he did not! I’m sure of that….
Then Kathy continued with “Why do you think he insisted …” to which Cheney immediately faced her put up his and pointed his finger at her.In school boy tone he said to her, “If you don’t leave me alone , I’m gonna have to tell your boss.” It reminded me of a child on a playground saying “ if you don’t stop it, I’m gonna tell my mommy.”
He then pointed his finger to show her how bad she was. He told her how her colleagues are outside and doing things like professionals.
Kathy doesn’t budge. Instead she replied,” My boss wants me to ask you these questions.”
Then, in keeping with his immature childish tone and using the same verbiage one would hear on a grade school playground, Cheney replied. YOUR BOSS IS STUPID TOO!
I couldn’t believe that I was hearing this from an alleged seasoned criminal attorney.
When people are scared and loosing something , they often get defensive. There is no doubt he must be feeling these things about Casey’s case. He must be scared and feeling that he will be losing the case, especially now that he has sunken his teeth into the case.
He then turns his back to her and suddenly turns around to face her as she says DO YOU SEE THE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE ACTING LIKE JACKASSES OR JUST YOU?

Kathy is calm and says “I obviously struck a nerve” to which Cheney regresses back into the grade school child mode and says (with his back turned towards her) "No you haven’t struck a nerve! YOU ARE A NERVE!”

Then the other reporters came into Sheriffs office and Kathy spoke up and asked a question, which he completely ignored.
So now we know that this high faloootin criminal attorney acts and sound much like a grade school child when confronted and when he is feeling stressed.
There is no doubt that as things get heated in Casey’s trial we may very well see Cheney’s grade school boy behavior and tone leak out in the courtroom. In this long and arduous trial, if he acts like this in front of jurors which I have no doubt he will, they will clearly not like him.
When jurors don’t like an attorney in the courtroom, it can have a great impact the outcome of the case as well. In my view that’s a good thing as far as Casey Anthony is concerned. When people are scared and loosing something , they often get defensive. There is no doubt he must be feeling these things about Casey’s case. He must be scared and feeling that he will be losing the case, especially now that he has sunken his teeth into the case.
He then turns his back to her and suddenly turns around to face her as she says DO YOU SEE THE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE ACTING LIKE JACKASSES OR JUST YOU?

Kathy is calm and says “I obviously struck a nerve” to which Cheney regresses back into the grade school child mode and says (with his back turned towards her) "No you haven’t struck a nerve! YOU ARE A NERVE!”

</center>Then the other reporters came into Sheriffs office and Kathy spoke up and asked a question, which he completely ignored.
So now we know that this high faloootin criminal attorney acts and sound much like a grade school child when confronted and when he is feeling stressed.
There is no doubt that as things get heated in Casey’s trial we may very well see Cheney’s grade school boy behavior and tone leak out in the courtroom. In this long and arduous trial, if he acts like this in front of jurors which I have no doubt he will, they will clearly not like him.
When jurors don’t like an attorney in the courtroom, it can have a great impact the outcome of the case as well. In my view that’s a good thing as far as Casey Anthony is concerned.
