Joran confirmed to de Telegraaf that his girlfriend is more than 3 months pregnant with his child. The child wasnt planned: she claims to have have forgotten the pill and refuses to have an abortion because of religious believes.

The article in the ipadversion of de Telegraaf also says that if Joran marries his pregnant girlfriend, it could mean he could get the Peruvian nationality. In that case it would be very difficult to get him extradited to the US, since Peru in most cases doesnt extradite their own people.

Report: Imprisoned Dutch killer impregnates girl

AMSTERDAM (AP) —A newspaper said Monday that Joran van der Sloot, a Dutch man who is serving a 28-year-sentence for murdering a young Peruvian woman, has impregnated a woman while imprisoned in Lima.

The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf cited Van der Sloot's lawyer Maximo Altez as saying the pregnancy is past its third month, and Van der Sloot himself as having confirmed the news in a telephone call on Saturday.

"A test has proved" the pregnancy, the paper quoted Van der Sloot as saying.

The woman, identified by the paper only as "Leidi," was said to have become pregnant during an unsupervised visit with Van der Sloot. It was not clear whether that is allowed or possible under Peruvian prison rules.

Media in Peru last year identified a woman named Leydi Figueroa Uceda as Van der Sloot's girlfriend, and said they had conceived a son together, but she denied it. Altez then described the pair as "friends."

In De Telegraaf Van der Sloot said "Leidi" uses the birth control pill but had apparently forgotten to take it and she would not have an abortion due to her Catholic faith. He said he didn't have DNA proof the child is his, but he believes it to be.

Van der Sloot is a self-described liar, having repeatedly confessed to killing U.S. teenager Natalee Holloway, who disappeared in 2005, and later retracting the confessions. He is the last person known to have seen her alive.

He was convicted for the 2010 robbing and killing of Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel room after meeting her in a nearby casino. He is wanted by authorities in the U.S. for allegedly extorting money from the Holloway family on the promise of revealing the location of her body.

He could resist extradition to the United States, where is wanted in the Holloway case, if he obtains Peruvian nationality. That would be a possibility if he becomes the father of a Peruvian child or if he marries a Peruvian citizen.

Van der Sloot is appealing his conviction.

Joran Van Der Sloot 'Has Never Met Woman Who Claims He Got Her Pregnant,' Says Lawyer

There won't be any baby showers thrown for Joran van der Sloot at Piedras Gordas prison any time soon, as his attorney has confirmed to RadarOnline.com that a Peruvian woman's claim that she is expecting his child is completely false.

"It is not true that Joran got someone pregnant," the convicted killer's lawyer Aldo-Favio Cotrina told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "He doesn’t have any conjugal visitation, in order to get that you have to be married as it is only allowed with a wife," he explained.

As Radar previously reported, a woman identified as "Leidi" told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that the 25-year-old had knocked her up, but Cotrina revealed his client has never even met the impostor, who has since been named as Carol Figueroa Uceda.

"The lady who went to Piedras Gordas prison to see Joran had a baby boy in her arms who is by coincidence a white color and looks different to any Peruvian baby, who have darker skin. That is not from Joran either!"

Uceda is far from the first female who has tried to get up close and personal with the Dutchman, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for the May 2010 murder of 21-year-old student Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel room, and she is the latest in a string of "stalkers" obsessed with the killer.

"There are a lot of women who want to meet Joran van der Sloot. Recently one girl from Germany and another from Switzerland. They asked Maximo (Altez) to let them visit Joran. They wanted to see and talk with him," Cotrina told Radar.

"The German female was beautiful and gorgeous with blue eyes and blonde hair. She was in Lima calling for five days begging Maximo. The other girl was there 10 days, trying to get to see him because she wanted visitation with Joran.

"They aren’t older ladies, they are young females of 23 or 24, the German was a college student."

Neither girl managed to gain access into the high security prison, as the only visitors he is allowed are his main attorney, Altez, and his mother, Anita.

"At Piedras Gordas, you go by the book and they only allow direct family," said Cotrina.

Despite the strict rules, some women do successfully sneak into the prison by telling the guards they are visiting other inmates, he went on to reveal.

"They come with the excuse that they are going to see someone else and when they get in to see these supposed relatives they go into the other building where Joran is held. They bypass the rules to get in there. Once they are in, they are free to go anywhere in the facility. The women are smart and it is nothing the guards can control," he claimed.

Contrina couldn't confirm whether the young, single killer sleeps with these women, however. "I don’t like to talk in the press about how he likes to handle his emotional feelings that he has. It is a dangerous system," he told Radar.

"Even in America women go to the prisons to get boyfriends, they get obsessed and want boyfriends and a relationship. The same thing happens in Peru."

When it comes to women who lie about being impregnated by inmates like Joran, his attorney feels that the women's babies are the real ones that suffer.

"When the baby comes out it will grow up and when it starts going to school someone can Google his name or his mother’s name and link them to Joran.

"It is not fair that any baby be linked with him," he argued.

Last June, Van der Sloot was the target of a fake wedding hoax when people who organize mass marriage ceremonies at the prison spread a rumor he was going to tie the knot.

While serving time in Peru, the convicted killer still remains the prime suspect in the disappearance of an Alabama teen, who went missing from Aruba in 2005.

Birmingham, Ala (WIAT) The truth is frequently an alien concept to Joran van der Sloot.

He says he lied to Dutch TV reporters when he told them he killed Natalee Holloway.

The FBI says he lied to Natalee's family when he took their money and promised to share the fate of the Mountain Brook teen who disappeared on a graduation trip to Aruba.

Peruvian prosecutors say he was lying when he told them he killed student Stephany Flores when she found information about Natalee on his laptop computer. Stephany's corpse was found in his Lima hotel room five years to the day that Natalee walked out of an Aruban nightclub with van der Sloot...never to be seen again. But prosecutors convinced a Peruvian court that the Dutchman killed Flores in order to rob her.

So what's the truth of the latest stories out of Peru that van der Sloot is about to be a father?

Van der Sloot's attorney, Maximo Altez, told The Associated Press that a woman named Leidy Figueroa Uceda "is registered as a conjugal visitor of Joran. She is registered in the visitors books of the Piedras Gordas prison in Lima."

He denied, however, that he had told the newspaper he could confirm the pregnancy.

"I told them I didn't know anything in that respect," he said.

News media in Peru last year identified Figueroa as Van der Sloot's girlfriend, and said they had conceived a son together, but she denied it.

De Telegraaf said Van der Sloot told it that the woman uses birth control pills but apparently forgot to take one. He said she would not have an abortion due to her Roman Catholic faith. He said he didn't have DNA proof the child is his, but he believes it to be.

Recorded messages on Monday indicated that two telephone numbers registered to Figueroa had been cancelled.

Van der Sloot is a self-described liar, having confessed to killing Holloway and later retracting the confessions. He is the last person known to have seen her alive on the Caribbean island of Aruba.
