Obama finally coming home Friday to Chicago, re: violence problem

“I asked Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) about the impact of Obama’s visit, and he told me the president might be able to make an appeal to the criminals ‘who are carrying out a small land war in certain neighborhoods of Chicago. This somehow has to end.”

The reality is setting in with the public that the problem is the motives causing the violence, not the instruments. It is just as ridiculous to demand a ban on rifles as it would be to demand a ban on cars because 33,000 people die each year in the U.S. in motor vehicle crashes.

Let’s hope that Obama’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday, and his appearance in Chicago on Friday, which is supposed to be at a school or library in an area affected by gun violence, address some practical proposals for dealing with violent crime. Some victims of gun violence will be guests in the audience at State of the Union Speech.

What has the former “community organizer” and state and federal representative covering Chicago done in the past about the violence problem there ?

That's where he learned to skeet shoot.

Skeet shooting ?

Skeet are clay discs catapulted up into the air to be shot as a moving target - a sort of imitation duck in flight.

But that is not the direction he is firing, is it ?

You have degree in ballistics, too?
How do you know that he isn't standing at the top of an incline (check that tree sway) and/or that they don't "skeet" too far in the air for the President and his guests to take aim at.....I doubt they want anyone to go away from Camp David feeling like a loser. It's only for funsy.
