Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ's sources Bobbi was taken on a stretcher out of the Beverly Hills Hilton, where her mother died yesterday.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.

Bobbi Christina is Whitney's only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

Whitney Houston Water Found in Her Lungs

Image

The autopsy of Whitney Houston revealed she did have water in her lungs when she died, but the medical examiner needs to determine exactly how much before they can rule whether she died as a result of drowning ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

As TMZ first reported, authorities believe Houston may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.

But according to our sources, authorities cannot yet determine whether Houston died before she was submerged in the water or after. We're told there is still a possibility Houston was dead before she went under the water.

Toxicology results will be back in 4-6 weeks.

I watched the service today and it was really amazing. What a tribute to a great singer. As the pastor said, the world went to church today for Whitney Houston. Kevin Costner's tribute was so moving, as well as all the rest of the 4 hours. So very sad that she was her own worst enemy, as is true of so many addicts. Rest in Peace at last, Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina high after funeral -report

February 20, 2012 10:36AM

WHITNEY Houston's devastated teenage daughter sparked panic by disappearing for hours after her mum's funeral, and family members were told she was found getting high in a hotel room, according to a report out today.

The Daily Beast cites two sources who claim Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, was allegedly found using drugs in a hotel room hours after the star-studded funeral.

Family members reportedly want Bobbi Kristina -the child of two high-profile drug abusers - to go immediately into rehab.

The report says the family was told about the alleged drug use after they frantically searched for Bobbi Kristina, who was sent to hospital twice for emotional breakdowns after her mum's sudden death.

“Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina’s cell,” said one source, a longtime family friend.

“It was so much commotion and activity after the funeral that Bobbi Kristina just slipped away. Ms Cissy (Houston, Whitney’s mother) was beside herself.”

A family spokesman denied Bobbi Kristina was using drugs, according to The Daily Beast, and chalked up the disappearance to stress surrounding her mother's untimely death last week.

"There was some confusion about Bobbi Kristina’s whereabouts last night for a short time, but she's OK,” a Houston family spokesperson told The Daily Beast.

“She needed some time alone. She is going through a very hard time as you can expect.”

Bobbi Kristina entered rehab for drug use last year, a family associate told the news organisation.

“It’s a horrible situation for everybody,” a close family friend said.

“They tried to save Whitney, and it didn’t work. Now with Bobbi Kristina, they fear the same thing is happening again and they won’t be able to stop it either. Bobbi Kristina is all Ms Cissy has left of Whitney. She’s so tired, but she’s ready to fight again to save her grandbaby.”

Houston, 48, who had long battled drug and alcohol abuse, was found dead in her Los Angeles hotel room last Saturday. Her body was laid to rest at a private ceremony in New Jersey yesterday.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Donna Summer, Disco Queen, Dead at 63

May 17, 2012 12:22pm

Image

Donna Summer, the singer who came to be known as the “Queen of Disco” during her 1970s heyday, died today after battling cancer, a family member confirmed to ABC News. She was 63.

Summer was a five time Grammy award winner who was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard chart. Her hits like “Last Dance,” “Bad Girls,” and “Love to Love You Baby” made her a disco icon.

Born outside of Boston, Summer was raised by devout Christian parents who introduced her to both gospel and classical music. In a 2008 interview with ABC News’ “Nightline,” Summer remembered her mom singing songs to her before going to bed each night.

“As long as the classical station was playing on the radio, I wouldn’t cry,” she said. “If it was on for 20 hours, I would sleep for 20 hours. I would be calm. So I think that my mother probably helped my sense of musicality just by doing that.”

Summer left home at age 18 to audition for the Broadway production of “Hair” and got a role in the show when it moved to Germany. There, she met producer Giorgio Moroder, who would launch her solo career. She went on to produce hits like “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance,” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” a song that was inspired by a washroom attendant.

“I was at a Grammies party … and I went to the ladies room and on my way in I saw this little old lady sitting at the end of the bar. And she was asleep,” Summer told “Nightline.” “She was the bathroom attendant. And at that same moment, a group of ladies walked into the room and started spraying their hair and doing all these things. And my first thought was ‘God, she works hard for her money, that lady.’

“And then I thought, ‘man, that’s a song,’” she said. “So I went and grabbed my manager and we went back into the bathroom and started writing the song on a piece of toilet paper.”

Summer’s last album, “Crayons,” was released in 2008. In 2010, she told AllVoices.com that she was working on an album of disco standards.

Summer is survived by her husband, Bruce Sudano, three children, and four grandchildren.

Phyllis Diller Dead at 95, Iconic Wild-Haired Comic

Image

Legendary comedienne Phyllis Diller died at 9:30 a.m. this morning in Los Angeles surrounded by family. She was 95.

She had recently fallen, hurting her wrist and hip, and although her health had been declining ever since, her rep says it had nothing to do with her death.

Diller began her career in 1952, creating a stage persona of a wild-haired, eccentrically dressed housewife. Her signature was her unusual laugh.

The consummate entertainer rose to fame making self-deprecating jokes about her age and appearance, her terrible cooking, and a husband named “Fang,” while smoking a cigarette in a long holder.

Manager Mitt Suchin released a statement: “The world lost a true trailblazer, a gracious and kind woman, beloved by all. She died peacefully in her sleep and with a smile on her face.”

Michael Clarke Duncan dead, 'Green Mile' actor was 54

LOS ANGELES - Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in "The Green Mile" and such other box office hits as "Armageddon," ''Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda," is dead at age 54.

Duncan died Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was being treated for a heart attack, said his fiancée, reality TV personality Rev. Omarosa Manigault, in a statement released by publicist Joy Fehily.

The muscular, 6-foot-4 (1.96 meter) Duncan, a former bodyguard who turned to acting in his 30s, "suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered," the statement said. "Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date."

In the spring of 2012, Duncan had appeared in a video for PETA, the animal rights organization, in which he spoke of how much better he felt since becoming a vegetarian three years earlier.

"I cleared out my refrigerator, about $5,000 worth of meat," he said. "I'm a lot healthier than I was when I was eating meat."

Duncan had a handful of minor roles before "The Green Mile" brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. The 1999 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s. Duncan played John Coffey, a convicted murderer with a surprisingly gentle demeanor and extraordinary healing powers.

Duncan's performance caught on with critics and moviegoers and he quickly became a favorite in Hollywood, appearing in several films a year. He owed some of his good fortune to Bruce Willis, who recommended Duncan for "The Green Mile" after the two appeared together in "Armageddon." Duncan would work with Willis again in "Breakfast of Champions," ''The Whole Nine Yards" and "Sin City."

His industrial-sized build was suited for everything from superhero films ("Daredevil") to comedy ("Talledega Nights," ''School for Scoundrels"). His gravelly baritone alone was good enough for several animated movies, including, "Kung Fu Panda," ''Delgo" and "Brother Bear." Among Duncan's television credits: "The Apprentice," ''The Finder," ''Two and a Half Men" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."

Born in Chicago in 1957, Duncan was raised by a single mother whose resistance to his playing football led to his deciding he wanted to become an actor. But when his mother became ill, he dropped out of college, Alcorn State University, and worked as a ditch digger and bouncer to support her. By his mid-20s, he was in Los Angeles, where he looked for acting parts and became a bodyguard for Will Smith, Jamie Foxx and other stars. The murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G., for whom Duncan had been hired to protect before switching assignments, led him to quit his job and pursue acting full-time.

Early film and television credits, when he was usually cast as a bodyguard or bouncer, included "Bulworth," ''A Night at the Roxbury" and "The Players Club."

Larry Hagman Dies

Image

Larry Hagman, a larger-than-life TV personality best known for his role as J.R. Ewing on the primetime soap Dallas, died Friday of complications from throat cancer.

The star, who was the son of Broadway legend Mary Martin (South Pacific, Peter Pan) and Texas attorney Benjamin Hagman, was 81. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maj Hagman, their two children and their grandchildren.

"When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones," his family said in a statement to the Dallas Morning News. "It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for. The family requests privacy at this time."

"This is so sad. Larry was really someone who was loved by everyone," his agent Joel Dean tells PEOPLE. "Me especially. He was the most loving, wonderful, generous man. And he was a true trouper."

In late 2011, Hagman, who had undergone a liver transplant in 1995, announced he had stage 2 throat cancer but had also signed on to star in the TNT reboot of Dallas (which recently started filming its second season). The show originally aired on CBS from 1978 to 1991.

"Larry was back in his beloved Dallas, re-enacting the iconic role he loved most," said the family statement. According to the Morning News, Hagman's Dallas costars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were by his side at Medical City Dallas Hospital when he died.

In addition to portraying J.R. – a lovable, scheming, villainous oilman, whose shooting was a topic of international water-cooler discussion in 1980 – Hagman costarred with Barbara Eden as the astronaut Major Anthony Nelson on NBC's I Dream of Jeannie, which ran for five seasons starting in 1965.

"My deepest condolences go out to his wife Maj, his son and daughter and his grandchildren, as well as his friends in this time of his passing," Eden posted on her Facebook page. "I can honestly say that we've lost not just a great actor, not just a television icon, but an element of pure Americana."

Added Eden: "Goodbye Larry, there was no one like you before and there will never be anyone like you again."
