CherokeeKid wrote:Why did the Twittys arrange for the Medjet to come in on Tuesday, May 31 2005? They just had arrived the evening before, on Monday, May 30.
This Medjet was quite expensive at $37,000. What was the reason to bring this Medjet in?
IMO, the Twittys knew already about Natalee's excessive drinking and drug use.
The early mention of "she left with a drug dealer", the search in crack houses by one of the MB kids who stayed in Aruba, the Twittys rushing down to Aruba in a private jet the same day Natalee did not show up etc.
In the beginning, the Twitty's thought she had been sold to a crack dealer.
The Twittys arrived in the evening of Monday, May 30, did their "family investigation" and ended up at Joran's home late at night. Beth Twitty was convinced, Natalee was hiding in the VDS home.
The next day, the Medjet arrived on Aruba.
All I know for a fact, is that one of the persons who traveled down to Aruba to help the Twittys search for Natalee, called his daughter crying saying Natalee had been sold. I don't think this person would call his daughter back in the states crying if he didn't believe this in the beginning.
They probably thought Joran had something to do with it.
Joran was probably was trying to impress his new casino friends with big drug dealer story. ...He was prone to do such things. ....wasn't his fault of course.
I'm picturing the McWane jet with a trailer hitch hooked up to the Medjet flying into Aruba on the downlow......ya know, trailer trash style.
LOL....nothing is ever Joran's fault.

What I want to know is Beth Twitty's reasoning - why would they arrange for that Medjet? What was the purpose?
And the timing: Were arrangement made on Monday, 30 May already? But the Medjet would not flight out that late and arrived on Tuesday? Or were arrangement made in Tuesday, May 31 and the Medjet arrived the same day?
......to Medjet because we had the jet sitting on the tarmac for two days because that’s when we thought we were pulling Natalee out alive of one of their crackhouses, being held by a crack addict against her will.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Do you know anything? I mean, you‘re just not telling us, or you don‘t know?
RENFRO: I don‘t know.
I think you are looking for confirmation of the Julia and Angela version of events....good luck with that.
This sums up the "know" of the in-the-knowers and why they have gotten all the credible coverage their claims deserve....
CherokeeKid wrote:First, Beth Twitty claimed she "knew" immediately that Natalee was "kidnapped" when she got the phone call, she had not shown up at the lobby for her return flight.
Then Beth Twitty and the posse rush down to Aruba, starting with their "family investigation" which leads them to the VDS home. And eventually to Joran. Beth Twitty was convinced, Natalee was in the VDS home and was very disappointed the police did not go inside the VDS home to get Natalee out. Her focus was on Joran from the start.
Joran is no drug dealer. The VDS home is no crack house.
However, the Medjet arrived the next day.
So, what was the plan? Do YOU have a plausible explanation or do you believe Beth Twitty's "version of the truth"?
resigned wrote:Her focus was on finding her daughter - I believe she was told Natalee missed her flight - she instinctively knew that was out of character for Natalee, as it would be for most anyone that would travel with a large group to another country and not tell anyone they weren't going home or not to have been seen or heard from since being seen leaving a night club in a car with at least one person who mis-represented themself as an older tourist staying at the HI - but was in fact a local replacing Judge's son.
If Natalee had told someone that she wasn't going home or there was some evidence to indicate that she intended to stay on Aruba or she had some sort of history of disappearing - I would consider that Beth knew more...but there isn't - there never was....and I don't.
Early bulletin board aruba posts say the same thing that Beth had heard. Being held against her will in a crack house -somehow that morphed into the held for ransom story. The story had to originate on Aruba or there would have been no reason for the family to contact their Congressional Rep. or the FBI as early as stated. The left with a local drug dealer may well be the "disturbing circumstances" Bachus mentioned. We have no idea how Joran portrayed himself to the MB students or which ones - he may have charmed the woman and befriended the partiers as a big shot...who would know - he's such a liar. IMO, if the family were just out to grab Natalee and keep whatever you think is the truth a secret then the family would have done it all on the "qt" without any involvement of the US government. I doubt if Beth had did any research or thought on who she intended to "pin" her daughter's disappearance on and that she "got lucky" and found the biggest pathological liar on Aruba. (albeit -it may have been a host of contenders) :lol

There was a meeting with friends of the Holloway/Twitty Families to discuss the case and the answers some questions. The meeting was held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 in Pelham, Al (Just south of Birmingham, AL).

27. Was a medjet ever in Aruba and if so what were the reasons for it being there?
They did have a medjet available due to the possibility that Natalee was being held in a crack house and would not know her condition when they found her.
--- They flew in on the mcwane jet and the medjet was called after they got there because ALE was insisting that she would probably show up in a crack house based on what they had seen from tourists in the past. It was sent by a friend in Alabama and I dont know who. The bill was paid for by the friend as well and not out of funds from the search fund.

Beth Twitty mentioned especially the Medjet and the $37,000 to make it looks like she paid it from the donation money she had collected all that time.

Once again, it shows that it can NOT be trusted whatever Beth Twitty says! She lied the minute she set foot on Aruba, she was hindering the investigation by her constant lies and her actions, and she is still lying!
Yes, there was a girl from Holland who had not returned home, who "disappeared" for months, who VOLUNTARILY hang out with people she had met on Aruba and she was doing drugs. If ALE suggested to look in crackhouses then it's because they thought Natalee was there to buy drugs or she was hanging out with those people to do drugs, that she had befriended them and NOT because she was "kidnapped" or "held against her will". What bunch of BS! ALE found out the truth that Natalee was in possession of drugs, even Peter de Vries got a hold of those declarations and used them as a bombshell revelation in his show Nov 2006.
Here is again the interview with Beth Twitty and Greta:
Well, you know, Greta, it’s hard for me to even respond to that, but if I must, I would hope that Deputy Dompig realizes that we’re not flying family, friends and searchers in and out on brooms to Aruba. You know, we pay air fares. We pay hotel bills. We pay the exorbitant attorney fees, private investigators. You know, one sample of a bill was $37,000 to Medjet because we had the jet sitting on the tarmac for two days because that’s when we thought we were pulling Natalee out alive of one of their crackhouses, being held by a crack addict against her will. So you know, there have been some expenses that we have incurred during this investigation.

If she had a bill for $37,000 and a person made a donation of paying the bill ............figure it out yourself.
She never broke down what money went where - who donated what for what or any of those things....you are projecting what you think the money should have been used to pay. The only people who she has to reconcile those donations with are the IRS.
Has not one iota of a thing to do with Natalee not being seen or heard from since she got in that Honda with van der Sloot the killer, and his two buddies.
