Dr. Phil Interviews - Sept. 13 and 14, 2011

I didn't watch. How many of you did?

Cindy continues to display the depth of her co-dependent enabling of Casey. This woman needs serious psychiatric help.

If these two were animals, the energy they project would make them the target of attacks and being run off from the pack, group, colony ... their body language tells a lot.

Casey Anthony's Father Blames Her For Caylee's Death

Her mother, Cindy Anthony, also disclosed that Casey has a history of seizures during a Dr. Phil interview Tuesday.

Casey Anthony has yet to speak about her acquittal for the murder trial of 2-year-old daughter Caylee, who disappeared in 2008.

But, in an interview with Dr. Phil host Phil McGraw on Tuesday, her parents Cindy and George are speaking out about their daughter's past and the trial, which ended with Casey being convicted on four charges of lying to police.

In the interview, George tells McGraw he can't be certain Casey, who lied about Caylee's disappearance for 31 days, didn't kill his granddaughter.

"The last one I saw Caylee with was Casey, but we didn't see her for all those days, all those weeks," he said, reports ABC News. Adding, "To me, in my mind, one and one adds up to two."

He aslo said he isn't sure his daughter didn't drive around with Caylee's dead body in her trunk (which prosecutors said smelled of death during the trial.

"Some parts of me do believe that she was possibly back there," he said.

During the lengthy discussion, which will air in multiple parts, Cindy tells McGraw that her daughter has a history of seizures (citing instances in both 2007 and 2008), though she doesn't directly connect that to Caylee's murder, or Casey lying to authorities about her daughter's whereabouts after her 2008 disappearance.

"I'm not making justification for [Casey's lies], but there's a cause for that," Cindy said. "You just don't have a grand mal seizure."

The medical condition was not something Casey's attorney's addressed during the trial (though she was examined by doctors to establish whether or not she was mentally fit to stand trial).

Casey is currently serving a year of probation somewhere in Florida for a separate conviction of check fraud.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 6:47 PM

Casey Anthony’s parents on ‘Dr. Phil’ season premiere: ‘She’s responsible for Caylee. That was her daughter.’

Dr. Phil launched its tenth season today with the much-promoted, exclusive interview with George and Cindy Anthony, their first public appearance since their daughter Casey was acquitted of first-degree murder.

Dr. Phil began the episode by touting the Casey Anthony story as “one of the biggest dramas to ever capture the nation’s attention” and spoke of how coverage of the case left him with more questions that answers. He is certainly not alone. Casey Anthony was found guilty of lying to police but beyond that, little is known of what actually happened.

Throughout the interview, Dr. Phil deftly tip-toed around overtly blaming Casey Anthony for the death of her daughter Caylee by referring to her involvement in the girl’s disappearance as “whatever it is she did.” By the end of Tuesday’s segment of the two-part interview, however, Dr. Phil’s opinion was less veiled. He quickly dismissed Cindy’s hypotheses of health disorders and postpartum schizophrenia, saying they were desperate reaches to excuse her daughter for wrongdoing. He also said that Casey Anthony would not be making an appearance on his show any time soon (read: ever).

“I have not and will not be interviewing Casey Anthony,” Dr. Phil said. “I have zero interest in doing so. I personally believe that her actions have spoken louder than any words.”

By her “actions,” Dr. Phil was referring to her behavior leading up to, during and after the disappearance of her child in which Dr. Phil says she created a “litany” and “elaborate menagerie” of lies, and, among other things, took part in a hot body contest and had the words “Bella Vita” tattooed on her body. Her mother, Cindy, attempted to justify some of this behavior. “For six months that Caylee was gone, I was devastated,” she said. “But during that time did I socialize with friends and maybe laugh once or twice at a joke? Yes. And if someone would have isolated that in a photograph and plastered it all over would I be just as guilty as Casey?”

But Dr. Phil remained skeptical. ”Cindy, you weren’t involved in the death,” he said. “What I see is a woman that has made a conscious decision to go to a bar within days of being in some way involved in the death and cover up of her child and I have a hard time framing that out in any other way.”

After listing off a series of lies perpetrated by Casey Anthony —her employment, her nanny, her friends, her activities, her theft of gas and cash from her parents and her un-established role in the disappearance of her child —he said, bluntly, “There is a point where you have to put on your list of possibilities that these are the behaviors of an unconscionable psychopath.”

For his part, George seemed more secure in pointing fingers. He never came out and said he believes Casey murdered her daughter (although the tease for the second part of the interview, airing on Wednesday, suggests he might), but he did seem willing to give credit where credit was due. ”Well, the last one I saw Caylee with was Casey,” he said. “To me, in my mind, that one and one adds up to two. She’s responsible for Caylee. That was her daughter.”

During Tuesday’s interview –which covered the time from Caylee’s birth to Casey’s arrest –Cindy said something that perhaps sums up the way most of America feels about the Caylee Anthony mystery. ”I wanted to go choke her or hit her and I just went over there and I just punched the bed as hard as I could to get my anger out,” Cindy said of hearing for the first time that Caylee was missing. “All I wanted was answers for Caylee and we didn’t have anything.”

We still don’t. We probably never will. In the eyes of the law Casey Anthony is innocent in her daughter’s death. It is certainly interesting to see the parents of one of the most hated people in America hinting, if not admitting, that their daughter is a guilty, lying psychopath, but the interview seems more like a chance for the Anthonys to get things off their chest, rather than clear the air.

What do you think PopWatchers? Did their answers seem honest and genuine? Is there anything that could possibly be said to make you change your minds about Casey Anthony?

I didn't watch - can't stomach McGraw or the Anthonys.
Even if I had wanted to watch, I don't have a clue when or what station that show is on where I live.

Apparently, from what I have read, Cindy lied through her teeth as usual, George was his his usual spineless self, and McGraw danced around w/o pinning anything/anyone down..............at least so far.

It just amazes me how scared George and Cindy seem to be of Casey. They have tip-toed around her for so long. We have seen her temper, but surely both of them could beat Casey to a pulp. They may have tried to appease her before because they wanted Caylee in their lives, but why are they still doing it?

Anthonys' Dr. Phil interview is worst case of ratings-grabbing tabloid TV By Eric Deggans, Times TV/Media Critic In Print: Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Snipped...

As a new flood of daytime talkers debut on television following the Queen of All Media's departure, what seems most obvious is the tabloid-fueled subjects they're willing to excavate while trolling for Winfrey's old fans.

On Monday, Anderson Cooper interviewed relatives of troubled pop star Amy Winehouse about her July death, while Wendy Williams will give Charlie Sheen more airtime Monday to explain how his appetites lost him TV's best-paying gig.

But the best (or worst?) example came Tuesday in the first installment of McGraw's two-part interview with the Anthonys, Orlando-area parents already excoriated by critics saying they moved too slowly to challenge their daughter's thin lies about Caylee's disappearance.

Got to view parts of the interview with George and Cindy in clips in spanish, George spoke alone with Dr. Phil.

George says in his heart Casey drugged Caylee with the help of someone else, Dr. Phil asked George why would Casey drug Caylee, George says to party.

George says he believes in his heart Casey had Caylee's body in her car at some point, Dr. Phil asked what types of drugs George said something to put Caylee to sleep.

Cindy was upset and said that was the first time she's heard George say this.

Cindy believes the drowning theory.
George refuses the drowning theory.

"If Caylee drowned, why the elaborate coverup?" George Anthony asked.

Snipped...

Instead, George Anthony said he more likely believes that his daughter, possibly along with friends, had given Caylee too much of a chemical, possibly Zanex or chloroform, and Caylee never woke up. He said he thought his daughter may have used a chemical to sedate Caylee because she wanted freedom, but Cindy Anthony said she had never heard her husband discuss this theory until that moment.

"Inside of my heart, I don't believe that Caylee drowned," George Anthony said.

Snipped...

He said there will be more of these two? Is he making a series out of this crap?

Snipped...

Both George and Cindy Anthony expressed anger over the way Caylee's remains were disposed of, in plastic bags in a swampy wooded area near their Orange County home.

"How could they do that to her? Why didn't she (Casey) tell us?" George Anthony said.

Cindy Anthony said she would never dispose of the body of someone she loved liked that, but defended her daughter, saying that Casey Anthony believes that someone's soul leaves their body as soon as they die, so the body was no longer Caylee.

Casey Anthony Overdosed Caylee, George Anthony Charges

George Anthony believes his daughter, Casey Anthony, drugged his granddaughter, Caylee, to sedate the toddler so her mother could go out.

"Yeah I blame my daughter for Caylee not being here today," George Anthony said on the "Dr Phil" show. "I believe she was there and I also believe she probably had some help."

In the strongest accusation he has made against his daughter, an emotional George Anthony told Phil McGraw that he believes Casey Anthony used drugs to act as a chemical babysitter for 2-year-old Caylee so that she could party with friends.

Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder charges this summer after she claimed at her trial that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family pool.

"Inside of my heart, I don't believe that Caylee drowned…I believe there's something else that happened to her…I believe that Casey or someone else that she was with possibly gave too much [drugs] to Caylee...she fell asleep and didn't wake up," George Anthony said, smoldering with anger.

Casey Anthony's Father Blames Her for 'Caylee Not Being Here'

The reason for the alleged drugging was "to go out and have a good time, go out with friends... to have this life that she didn't have with Caylee…some freedom that she wanted, that's what I feel," he said.

Referring to the "smell of death" that was in his daughter's car, George Anthony added, "Do I believe that she was possibly in the back of the car? I do…and she was placed down there at the end of our street."

George Anthony's claims about his daughter's role in Caylee's murder shocked wife Cindy Anthony.

"This is the first time you ever said that to me... I'm really kind of shocked to hear that today," Cindy Anthony told her husband.

George Anthony said that he doesn't accept the drowning story because of the way Caylee's remains were found on Dec. 11, 2008. Caylee's skeletal remains were found with duct tape over the mouth and nose and had been stuffed into trash and laundry bags.

"If this scenario that Casey had told to her defense about Caylee drowning [were true] why go through all this elaborate stuff-- to tape her up, to put her in a laundry bag, put her in a trash bag?" he asked.

Cindy Anthony, however, said she believes her daughter's claims that Caylee accidentally drowned.

"I buy the part that Caylee drowned," she said.

Cindy Anthony also said that the acquittal of her daughter is the right verdict.

"I prayed to God for three years to find out what happened to Caylee … I got my answer that it was an accident ," she said.

"I believe justice for Caylee was when her mother walked because I know the love that those two had and I know Caylee's soul would never have rested knowing her mother had been vilified for her death," Cindy Anthony said.

Cindy Anthony, while believing Caylee drowned, also believes her daughter had something to do with the disposal of the toddler's remains. She told McGraw that Casey may have hid the truth about Caylee's whereabouts to protect a possible accomplice.

"I know Casey knows where Caylee was placed. I know in my heart that now...I'm not sure if she put her there by herself or if someone helped her," she said.

Cindy Anthony gave a possible reason why Casey Anthony could allow her daughter's remains to be treated so cruelly.

"I know that Casey's belief is that as soon as someone dies, they leave their body and that's no longer Caylee...Caylee went straight to heaven," she said.

Cindy: Justice For Caylee Was When Casey Walked
Couple Speaks With Dr. Phil About Granddaughter's Death

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony’s parents don’t agree on key facts about their granddaughter’s death.

In the second day of a multi-part interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, George and Cindy Anthony talked about the circumstances of Caylee’s death and the trial’s verdict.

At one point, McGraw interviewed each of the two individually.

George said he believes that his daughter was involved in his granddaughter’s death.

“Do I believe that Casey is involved with the death of my granddaughter? Yeah. Was there someone else that possibly could of helped? I believe so too,” George Anthony told Dr. Phil. "Did Casey cover something up? Yes. You could see that. You could see by the lies.”

George said he doesn’t believe the theory of drowning.

"If this scenario that Casey had told her defense about Caylee drowning, why go through all this elaborate stuff to tape her up, to put her in a trash bag and bury her in the woods? I can't comprehend a human doing that, especially a daughter doing that to my granddaughter. I can't visualize that. I don't want to visualize that,” he said.

Cindy said she does not agree with George’s assessment. She said she believes Caylee drowned accidentally.

Cindy said she believes that when the jury found Casey not guilty in connection with Caylee’s death, it was a sign from God that it was an accident.

"Justice for Caylee was when her mother walked," Cindy said.

Cindy said that Casey started acting differently after Caylee’s birth and believes she may need help.

"I think there is something seriously wrong with my daughter,” Cindy said.

George and Cindy also didn’t agree on whether Casey ever had Caylee’s body in her car.

George said he believed evidence that showed the remains were in the trunk, but Cindy didn’t think Casey placed the remains in the woods.

George also said he believed Casey had used drugs to sedate Caylee so that she could go out and party.

Cindy claimed that was the first time she had heard George agree with the claim.

George said he thought Caylee’s death could have been the result of an overdose.

Cindy said she thought the remains had been moved from wherever they were originally placed.

Cindy was confronted by Dr. Phil when she said the remains found in the woods weren’t actually Caylee’s. She said on the show that she believed Caylee’s soul left the body when she died.

“To me, that was not Caylee,” she said.

Cindy said she would have cremated the body.

Dr. Phil said he interviewed the couple for about nine hours.

Casey Anthony: ‘I blame her for Caylee not being here,’ George tells ‘Dr. Phil’

George and Cindy Anthony, Day 2 on “Dr. Phil”: More tears, more excuses.

Was there news? Cindy Anthony said that Casey’s attorneys had asked her to keep secret medical explanations, such as seizures, for Casey’s erratic behavior. “All her attorneys sat on it and wanted me to keep quiet,” Cindy told Dr. Phil McGraw. Defense attorney Jose Baez didn’t respond to the show’s request for a comment, McGraw added.

In opening the show, McGraw said he was struck by how often Cindy Anthony offered excuses for Casey’s behavior. Casey Anthony was acquitted in July of murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee.

George Anthony bemoaned a smear campaign against him to help win his daughter’s acquittal. “If someone believed I was involved in this, why was I never brought up on charges?” George asked.

He said he had guilt about not doing enough to find out what happened to Caylee. “I lost Caylee three years ago, and I believe I lost Casey at the same time. I believe that. She’s responsible,” George said.

George blamed Casey for the child’s death. “I blame her for Caylee not being here,” George told McGraw.

He added that be believed that Casey buried Caylee and that someone helped her. “She deceived us, she lied to us,” he said.

The couple agreed there was no excuse for where Caylee’s being found in the woods. “I believe that Casey had knowledge or had something to do with placing Caylee there. I don’t understand it,” Cindy said.

Cindy said she believed Caylee drowned in an accident, but George said, “I can’t go in that direction.”

George said: ”I can’t understand how she could drown and all of a sudden, end up at the end of our street. … If there was an accident or something happened, why couldn’t Casey turn to us? Even turn to her brother? Why? Why? Why?”

George theorized that someone gave too much of a drug to Caylee and the child never woke up. He also feels that the toddler was transported in Casey’s car.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard that out of his mouth,” Cindy said about George’s view that Caylee was sedated. Still, Cindy said she wasn’t upset with George.

“If that’s how he feels, that if he’s finally getting that out in the open, I think it’s a good thing for him, because he’s held so much in,” she said. “The anger — I’ve been worried it’s going to kill him.”

Cindy said she was angry about the ordeal that the couple was put through and that Casey wouldn’t reveal what had happened to Caylee. Yet Cindy said she believed that God is Casey’s judge and he let her free through the acquittal.

“When that verdict came in and Casey was free, I got my answer that it was an accident,” Cindy said. “I believe that justice for Caylee was when her mother walked.”

Cindy said there is “something seriously wrong with my daughter and her thought processes.”

Yet when McGraw said that many people wanted to shake Cindy and tell her to smell the coffee, she smiled broadly.

“This is a young woman who lied to you for years,” McGraw told the parents.

“I never believed my daughter could be a criminal or a bad person,” George said.

Cindy said it was difficult to learn that Caylee’s remains had been found in December 2008. George said he tried to take his life in January 2009 because he couldn’t deal with the pain anymore.

“Casey Anthony orchestrated an elaborate web of lies,” McGraw told viewers in starting the program.

And the announcer said: “It’s the side of the story you haven’t heard.”

McGraw called the program “The Anthonys: The Revelations.” George was supplying most of them.

On Monday, McGraw will turn to the trial and the controversy over whether Cindy perjured herself. “Dr. Phil” airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on WOFL-Channel 35.

Funny how people can see something so differently. I watched Dr. Phil's interviews with the Casey's tonight and thought finally...someone is asking and pushing for the hard questions to be answered.

What I saw in the parents? A father who knows what happened (or at least believes he knows), feels guilt at the pain he caused his family by his gambling and an anger for being accused the way he was by his daughter.

Cindy??? I see a mother in denial for certain. I don't see a woman who is being dishonest necessarily...but instead someone who is unable at this point to accept the fact that her daughter could have done something so horrible to her granddaughter and still be telling lies. We've all seen the mom's in courtrooms where they swear on their life their son or daughter is innocent...even when they have confessed.

If they are lying to anyone...its to themselves. As for Dr. Phil, obviously he is in it for the ratings and/or money...but if people weren't interested to see what would be said, there would be no ratings.

I believe Casey was able to avoid justice and can't imagine what kind of life she will have. That girl needs help and until she gets it...I pray she doesn't have another child. I hope her parents can find peace. I can't imagine a marriage being able to stay together with two separate belief's of what actually happened.
It is the very things we think we know, that keep us from learning what we should know.

Cindy is getting a serious hump on her back.

Cindy was very happy to see Casey walk free. That was obvious from the smirk on her face when she left the courtroom, and she just gave voice to that in the interview.

Cindy and Casey are both evil. They both have no conscience at all. Cindy is happy to finally be able to not have to work any longer, having blood money to spend on vacations.

I honestly believe that Cindy doesn't care that Casey killed Caylee. She may have in the beginning, but Cindy put Caylee behind her three years ago.

Cindy continues to display the depth of her co-dependent enabling of Casey. This woman needs serious psychiatric help.

If these two were animals, the energy they project would make them the target of attacks and being run off from the pack, group, colony ... their body language tells a lot.

Did not watch. I hold "Doctor" Phil in very low esteem and probably would not even watch his show if God himself came to earth and Phil had the exclusive interview with Him! As for George and Cindy, why bother listening to more lies.

So all I know about it is from the short clips I've seen online and the various stuff written here.

I think one true thing was stated on the show:

"I think there is something seriously wrong with my daughter,” Cindy said.

Gee Cindy, what was your first clue??

Cindy really should be very proud of herself. She did everything in her power to make sure her daughter didn't go to prison and it worked. I hope it comes back to bite her in her ever expanding arse. I hope Casey comes home and makes Cindy miserable for the rest of her life.

LOL yeah... every time I see Cindy she's a little more pear shaped than the time before.

First she does her best to make sure that there's "something seriously wrong with my daughter" (yes, I partially blame Cindy for what Casey seems to have become) and then she makes sure her murdering daughter walks free. I too hope Casey comes home and takes a big bite outta "the pear". Heh.

If I were Cindy I would be more concerned about that her rounded back. In some of the pics I have seen of her she seems extremely hunchback. I don't know if it is her posture or she needs to start getting some calcium in her body.

Casey Anthony's Parents Answer Abuse And Perjury Claims In Final Dr. Phil Interview

n the final installment of his explosive interview with Casey Anthony's parents, Dr. Phil McGraw grilled Cindy and George Anthony on some of the hottest button issues of the murder trial.

On the show, Dr. Phil questions George on his daughter's allegation that he abused her, a claim made during opening statements in the trial. As he has all along, George vehemently denied it had ever happened.

He also revealed, with more than a little touch of sadness, that he thinks Casey might one day have a relationship again with her mother and brother, but thinks it is unlikely he and his daughter will be able to reconcile.

The talk show doc asked Cindy Anthony to explain her on-the-stand claim that it was she, and not Casey, who had researched chloroform on the Internet.

The prosecution claimed Casey had drugged her daughter Caylee before suffocating her, and that a search of chloroform had been found on her computer. Cindy testified that it was she, not Casey who had done the research, and for reasons that had nothing to do with murdering little Caylee.

And even though it lost its case against Casey, the state of Florida isn't done with her yet. As RadarOnline.com reported last week, Anthony has been ordered to repay the state more than $97,000 towards the cost of searching for Casey.

The episode of Dr. Phil airs Monday.
