JonBenet Ramsey

The JonBenet Ramsey case was the first "story" that I followed on the internet, reading forums and such. I find myself now with the Natalee story pretty much the way I was back then - not working enough, too much time online!
I've enjoyed reading everyone's well thought out posts here, and having brought up Patsy's name earlier today (when Casara said "don't go there"), and I wondered what your opinions were on this mystery. I look forward to your replies!

i do not really know what to think. i have read the books published and was just as undecided after than before. i think the comment she said about santas visiting her could have been someone who tried to lure her ---maybe this is not a real thing even said by her -who knows. i do know one thing --pageant bring out the worst in some people --i know this from personal experiences as my kids modeled and won pageants when little. i seen people actually steal costumes ect -- horrible ! after jon benet death we never did another although i have all the trophys packed away ---the kids involved were lured at by strangers as they competed and i seen things i never wanted to ---i hope both patsy and jon benet rest in peace in heavens doors. modeling has its bad side too---jon benet was a beauty and some one hurt her until she died --who>? i do not know.maybe we never will know .
i believe angels are on earth dressed as real people

Arrest in Thailand?

Postby Poster Nutbag » Wed Aug 16, 2006 3:31 pm

MSNBC news and Sean Hannity on his radio show have announced that an arrest has been made or is imminent in Thailand.

DENVER - A suspect has been arrested in connection with the ten year-old mystery surrounding slain 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, Denver’s KUSA reported Wednesday.

The suspect was detained in Bangkok, Thailand, Wednesday morning, the local NBC affiliate said, and was going to be brought to the U.S. within the next two days by a Boulder County District Attorney investigator.

Boulder officials, who would not give the identity of the suspect, were expected to hold a press conference later Wednesday.

JonBenet Ramsey was found beaten and strangled in her parents’ Boulder, Colo., basement on Dec. 26, 1996. A grand jury investigation ended with no indictments, and no arrests were made.

According to KUSA, the suspect in custody knew details about the murder that had not been made available to the general public.

Suspect held on unrelated charges
Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the man was being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

JonBenet’s parents, John and Patsy said an intruder killed their daughter but a cloud of suspicion hung over the couple. The district attorney and a federal judge in Colorado have said it is likelier that an intruder was responsible.

JonBenet’s death became fodder for tabloids and the subject of books.

Patsy Ramsey, who died of ovarian cancer in June, said at the time of her daughter’s death that she found a ransom note on the back staircase of the family’s home demanding $118,000 for the safe return of JonBenet.

John Ramsey said he found his daughter’s body in a basement room, wrapped in a white blanket eight hours later.

This breaking news story will be updated.

If this is valid, the suspect's name may be Nathan Inouye.

Wow......I had always heard that LE "in the know" were really sure that neither John nor Patsy (or Burke) killed JonBenet. A lot of people were just SO sure one or the other did it. I thought so UNTIL I heard about the stun gun and some other details that leaked.

The only thing that NEVER made sense to me is that I have always heard handwriting experts concluded Patsy very very likely wrote the ransom note. I mean- it was long, and written on house stationary so the killer had to be in the house for that much longer, and she was acting weird, and John Ramsey went right to the body etc...and the experts said there was a good match- not that that meant it was definite but it was odd....

Later on I became convinced the Ramseys were innocent. I always felt this case was too little too late and would never be solved but I've heard that this person arrested has confessed to details that have never been made public and there is other evidence too. So, if guilty....wow, and poor Patsy. Not to see justice for JonBenet.

So I am not one who thought the Ramseys were guilty, so I have NO reason to still trying to be pinning it on them, but I do wonder HOW JonBenet was snatched from her bed and someone was in their house all night and they didn't know??? Was their house THAT big? Did they have a houseguest?? I read they knew this suspect somehow...details of how they knew him were not released but it made me think they knew he had been in their home. ???

RIP poor dear JonBenet....may you have justice now.

What's the story about the suspect having e-mailed Patsy with details? Interesting that Patsy dies and this new guy confesses? forumsforjustice.org are posting that they do not believe this guy did it, and they have concrete reasons for believing it. Mercy. Wayyyy too many unanswered questions for me to make a decision.

poor Patsy is just the least of it. the internet feeding frenzy went after every one from Burke (11 at the time) to their friends, family and acquaintances in a wish to link Patsy and John to this murder...

John Mark Karr had no known contact with Patsy Ramsey;
he did send hundreds of e-mails to a professor of journalism
John Tracey, from the University of Colorado. Mr. Tracey
has produced documentaries on the JohnBenet case.

The information is that Karr began e-mailing Tracey
approximately 4 years ago, but it wasn't until a few months
ago that Tracey contacted the authorities based on some
serious concerns he was beginning to have about Karr.

Karr did not confess until after he was arrested and he has
not confessed to killing her, but to being there when she
died. He claims to have drugged her although
toxicology reports showed JonBenet had no drugs or
alcohol in her body at the time of her death.

LilyPotter

Most noteworthy to me has always been the fact that
there was no sign by way of footprints or tire tracks
that a possible intruder had entered or exited the house
surreptitiously or had driven up or away from the house.

There was snow on the ground, and it would appear that
an intruder would have to have left tracks of some kind,
but none were found anywhere.

Someone last night was saying that there was a sidewalk that led up to the basement window and there was no snow on the sidewalk. They said someone could have used that sidewalk/walkway and gained entrance without leaving footprints. I really don't know, but that is what I heard.
