When did they switch from just reporting the facts to playing with peoples lives?

I am so sick of the TH's and their panels making it up as they go along - not only in this case but others also. Why can't they wait till they get the correct information, instead of taking up air space with rumors, speculations and innuendo's.

CSI, I totally agree, but I think tabloid media, even mainstream media, has always been this way.

Every story I've ever read, even in credible newspapers, involving something I know something about, gets major facts wrong.

The New York Times was dead wrong about weapons of mass destruction. The far right calls it a "liberal" newspaper, yet even the Times tends to go with the State Department on most major issues.

To a degree although Some people on this forum just report what they've heard or read or watched without adding spin. Others, take those posts and intepret them and add some 'spin'.

But, when you see a website where the owner takes information and purposely twists it, to get in another shot at JVDS, can it be any clearer that the Scared Monkey site has no objectivity left?

Now, I would agree with your premise that the 'posters' to both sites seem to have bias, that's frequently present. What I don't see is the same degree of bias in the admins on this site, that is quite prevelant with the owners and mods at Scared Monkeys.

There's nothing wrong with reading both sites, to get a sense of balance. AT the very least, it can be fascinating to watch the same program on TV and then read completely opposite interpretations coming from the two discussion boards.
