Understand the confusion. They took an image copy of the HD and that's what they used to investigate.

Ahhh. They let the original out of their evidential grasp? Not wise. Not good. Thank you.

fierljepper wrote:Do you agree though that there is some rationale in posing questions like: 'Which event caused Val to wake up that night?" and "Did he actually meet his brother that morning or not?"

I certainly do. I'd like to know with micro-GPS accuracy exactly where everyone's arses were that night.

As log as the established procedures have been followed that doesn't matter one bit.

What you WANT to do to that child is disgusting.
You don't know, therefore it is up for discussion?
I THINK NOT!
He is a minor child and has not spoken in public about it.
He is NOT fair game!

The Twitty Twins did NOT, I repeat did NOT give statements to LE. You say you are sure, are you?
Where you there?
Have you seen them?
I think NOT.

I do NOT want to do anything to VAL, I was just pointing out to YOU, if YOU were NOT there YOU don't know what happened or who was or has been questioned. I have never ever said anything bad about Val either. Get your facts straight before attacking me. I'm through with this subject so leave me out of it. TIA

Yup. As always, I'm looking at it from the PoV of the forensic bench tech who made the copy. You're quite right in that it can be dependably reconstructed, but if it had been done right in the first place it wouldn't have had to be done over (just a personal peeve there). It just annoys me because if you do it dead right first time it doesn't leave opportunities for accidental time zone errors, or assertions of fraud.

Nor, perhaps, would we have had the story that somebody had "tried to change the RTC on the VdS 'puter", implicitly to hide something.

{Reasoning isn't magic, it's a physical process like digestion, and it takes time. "Goofin' off", going for a piss/coffee/lunch, pondering, "daydreaming", "getting a breath of fresh air", or even sleeping on it, - thinking time - are all actually ways of allowing the chemical reactions of mental digestion time to take place - what the tech should have done. :roll: }

Like I said; there's a fixation on the hard disk data, while overlooking the extensive conjougate ISP records.
