Also, is that black thing that looks like a shoe string supposed to be the "rope?"

I thought exactly the same thing AL, about the stitching. I've never seen it done so 'good' . I think his hand is clutched like that because he held or the rope or that shoe string thing. I don't think that is suppose to be the rope. I think his hands were tied with thicker rope and this thin thingy was the only thing connected to his genitals, fwiw..

Something must have gone terribly wrong. Surely in the past when he has done this, he didn't get ligature marks on his neck. I guess he got sloppy this time, or something caused him to hang.

Since it's a dangerous activity, there's always that chance that once it will go wrong. Whether you are doing it by yourself or as a couple. I guess he just blocked out his oxygen too long. If his heart failed him I guess the Thai coroner would have seen that right away.

They now only wait for the toxicology report to come back to see if some kind of substance caused it, but I doubt it...just a freak accident..

David Carradine's Death -- Not Suicide

An independent autopsy requested by David Carradine's family revealed he did not commit suicide.

No real surprise there. The forensics expert who examined his body, Dr. Michael Baden, said he'll need further information from Thailand to make a final determination about the cause of death

And just exactly how much is the family having to pay this ass to say that?

Just tell it like it is and don't lie. David died because he was a fetish freak. No one else is to blame, or is involved.

He did it to himself. End of story, now bury the freak.

Not really a surprise it wasn't suicide, lol...

But for Baden there's always the possibility to say it was a homicide, but then by some secret Kung Fu sect shit...or Ninja's..

I don't consider him a freak though, to each his own, it's not my cup of tea, but not my business either what someone else does to get their kicks as long as they do it to themselves...

Did anyone see that new show 'Mental'? Carradine was a guest star on the show. It was really freaky in that he played a catatonic patient in wheelchair. He basically looked dead for the majority of the show, lest a few flash backs depicted from his past. His eyes were closed or barely opened, and he slouched in the chair with his head tilted to the side. His facial look was all droopy, it looked like his head was too heavy to lift. In another part he is receiving water therapy, and he's being floated on his back with his eyes closed. Still another part he's lying on a table for shock therapy, again looking dead. I swear he looked like his autopsy picture, less the incisions!

LOS ANGELES — Mourners have arrived under overcast skies in Los Angeles for David Carradine's funeral.

More than 400 people, including numerous actors, arrived at a cemetery on Saturday afternoon to honor the life of the "Kung Fu" and "Kill Bill" star.

The 72-year-old actor's body was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room on June 4. Thai authorities continue to investigate his death. A statement released Thursday by a private pathologist said suicide had been ruled out as a cause of death.

Services and the burial were private. Among those seen entering the memorial service were the actor's brother, Keith Carradine, longtime friend Michael Madsen and "Kill Bill" co-star Lucy Liu.

David Carradine rose to fame in the 1970's TV series "Kung Fu" and has appeared in more than 100 films.

ET has video of Tom Selleck, Michael Madsen, Lucy Liu, Jane Seymour and other celebs as they joined hundreds of other mourners at David Carradine's funeral service in Los Angeles.

The scene was somber on Saturday as the mourners gathered at Forest Lawn cemetery to pay their respects to the 72-year-old "Kung Fu" actor, who died earlier this month in Bangkok, Thailand. Also spotted at the service were Edward James Olmos, Ali Larter, Fances Fisher, James Cromwell and Rob Schneider, who arrived carrying a bouquet of flowers.

Speaking of the service, David's brother Bruce told People.com: "It was touching, but light-hearted. There weren't a lot of tears, but there was a lot of laughter."

The investigation into David Carradine's mysterious death in a Bangkok hotel room continues in Thailand.

David Carradine Died Of Asphyxiation, Suicide ruled out

Postby olympic » Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:39 pm

NEW YORK, NY -- "Kung Fu" star David Carradine died of asphyxiation, a medical examiner who worked on the second, private autopsy of the actor told Reuters.

The family of the actor, who was found dead on June 4 in his Bangok hotel suite in Thailand, had hired Dr. Michael Baden of HBO's "Autopsy" series to conduct a second autopsy after Carradine's body was returned to the U.S. last month.

Thai authorities conducted one shortly after the actor's death.

"The cause of death was asphyxiation, an inability to breathe, now why that happened is still what we're working on," Baden told the news service. Dr. Baden said the cause of death meant that suicide was ruled out as a possibility.

"He didn't die of natural causes, and he didn't die of suicidal causes from the nature of the ligatures around the body, so that leaves some kind of accidental death," he said.

Some reports suggested Carradine's death may have been the result of autoerotic asphyxiation, because of how the actor's body was found in a closet with his hands tied and a rope around his neck.

According to Reuters, when asked a question about the subject, Baden did not rule it out.

A rep for Carradine's brothers had no comment on the preliminary results of the report, according to Reuters.
