Even worse :?
1 John 3:1a, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"
1 John 4:10, "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

That's my messageboard junkie opinion.... :P

The seeking contact does not only come from the posters' side.

The Holloway family did nothing to prevent or stop it, on the contrary, they encouraged contacts with posters. In fact they are very involved in the message boards themselves. Isn't Beth's brother poster Private Eye on Scared Monkeys? Hasn't Robin been active on several boards?
And you can say the same but on a much lesser scale about the vd Sloots.

Look at which thread I posted this, Tulip...

I would hardly compare the monkeys and their sick/dangerous obsessions etc. with other people who have contact with people on Aruba or the US for that matter...

That we know of anyway BT.

You can. I can't. I think the Slot family & friends have utilized the boards to the fullest extent for their own purposes.

Sometimes I read here and wonder if some childhood fantasies still haunt some people...'monsters under the bed....hiding in the closets'...were they all from Aruba?

The suspicion really kinda creeps me out. Image

I said on a lesser scale.

inhabitants:

Aruba: 100.000
USA: 300.000.000

the ratio is 1 to 3.000

Do you really think the vd Sloots got more support than the Holloways?

You did say that.

As far as influencing the case one way or another I don't think that any message board poster has done that. Some may believe that they have but it is doubtful.
family support? probably not.

My own opinion is certainly affected by some message board posters.

But you are probably right, our opinion has no influence on the case.

sarge, let's not kid ourselves here, some posters felt they were going to reveal the "real truth" - many of us have been around long enough on this case to know this. People were conducting their own investigations and inserting themselves into all of this.
1 John 3:1a, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"
1 John 4:10, "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

You said it. I haven't looked at SM in a few days but I'll bet you can go there right now and see calls for vigilante justice, not only against J2K, but against the crew of The Persistence, Tim Miller, Dave Holloway, Fred Golba, and any number of anonymous internet posters (all of whom they have investigated real life information on). All based on their version of "the truth" as revealed to them by Kermit the Frog.

I don't read that Monkey stuff but yes, there are posters who claim to speak the truth and even know what ALE believes. That would have to come from someone with access and I just don't believe it.
I remember all the "I know but cannot tell". That ended up to be a big dud.
I always wondered if Antonio Carlo really had a secret meeting with Karin Janssen and what he told her. I guess we will never know.

You should read at the monkey site for once. You wouldn't believe your eyes.

Oh, but people involved in a any way in this case do have relatives and friends. Of course there is "I know but cannot tell" stuff.

Why bother - you and others bring all the "highlights" here. Saves me time to do other things. Thanks.....

If anyone - friend or family really knows anything that is of evidentiary value, even if it is to exclude a suspect - than they should tell LE and not be speculating on a message board and pretending they possess the "Real Truth" - JMO

jen.....you should see some of the sites I have signed up to in order to spy/check up on/learn about/watch/etc. certain people/issues/things, etc. disgusting, lol. I hope when I die my computer dies with me, lmao. My Son would be shocked at some of the crap I have on here, but it is necessary for me to do what I do.
