Hi AC and pax!

What a beautiful Sunday! I worked outside all day power washig sidewalks, trimming bushes, and getting ready for summer planting.

pax ~ can't say I'm into the Masters, just the gossip!! lol

Speaking of South Africa, my brother and sister in law are doing a trip to Africa October 12th... going on safari, and then spending time touring different areas. That's on my wishlist, but too damn expensive for right now.

Hey, Pax. I have not been watching the tournament. How did it go? I did see a few blurbs on the news, but that was about all.

Elaine, you and I are of the same mindset. I've been working a lot outside myself AND pressure washing. The weather has been great to get this stuff done.

N2K, you are a dear. You are always in my prayers as well.

Hi AC. The tournament was great. Lots of description in the sports section here. Lefty Phil Mickelson won. Have a nice evening.

I'm so glad it's almost Friday, and the weekend will be here. This working for a living's a pain in the ass! :P

Hope everyone's well 'cause it's sure been quiet...

Hello everyone. Hope your Monday is starting out well. It's going to be sunny and in the 80's here. Wish I didn't have to be inside all day. Great day to hang by the lake or do some fishing.

Not much going on for me over the weekend, but at least I don't have to punch a time clock!! lol

Have a great Friday, everyone!!

Hello Everyone - the heat is on down here in South Florida as well but we have had some beautiful days although May and June are considered the rainy months here. There is always a lot going on, I rode to Marathon Key on my motorcycle last Saturday and had breakfast at The Seven Mile Grill restaurant - same owner and location since 1954.

I hope and pray you and your families are all doing well. We don't have too many plans for summer since the situation at my job is awful; my wife and I have taken a $2000.00 per month hit in our combined salaries so I am weighing my options right now, hoping to jump ship and take my acquired pay out with me, to include my retirement pension that thankfully, has recovered very well from the market fall.

Have a great week!

I have not checked in here for awhile...benn too blue and busy looking for a summer job...I work in a school system, and about 4 years ago, got it through to the powers that be that some of us 9 1/2 month employees find it hard to find a summer job for the rest of the year, so they gave some of us summer jobs in the school system...last year all that changed with the economy and budget cuts to schools...no summer job last year, no summer job this year...and the bad thing is, there aren't very many jobs, let alone jobs for 2 1/2 months...so that has been on my mind...anyone know of any jobs? I have thought about taking out an ad and advertising myself!

I hope everyone is doing well...it's been cold, rainy and stormy in KS.

Hi, N2K, is that restaurant near the Green Turtle Inn? I always loved that restaurant.

Sorry to hear about the job probs but you are a bright young man, and I know that your future will be bright. :)

Dallas...how cute! I finally saw a black squirrel in my trees yesterday....I have lots of red ones.

It's 55 chilly damp degrees and it's graduation day....gonna hold it inside this year...it will be packed, and there is no air conditioning in the gym...one of my daughters had their's in the gym due to rain, and we were miserably hot.

Happy Sunday everyone...hey...does anyone know anything about animal tracks and how to figure out what made them? There are some huge prints in my garden in the mud, and right now we do not have any really big dogs in our neighborhood...it's a paw type print...a pad with toes...about 4 inches across...walking across the garden, about an 8 feet area...four prints. Last week very early in the moring, while still dark, I took my pooch out and we saw a critter across the street in a yard...in the dark but with a street light on the corner, I could not tell what it was...first I thought it was a coyote...then as it began to move, a raccoon, but couldn't really tell what it was..it loped down the street...I live one block from the wilderness, although there are houses all around there, but about a mile of fields and trees...an uncle of mine lives on the east side of that area, with woods right up to his deck...he sees all kinds of critters all the time, esp birds, deer, wild cats...his neighbor actually made a video of a huge mountain lion in the trees in their back yard...and snakes...let's not talk about where my uncle has found snakes...the deer are great to watch, though. And my uncle has a lot of bird attractions, like a heated watering area for the winter months. I used to walk out at the airport, which is not far from that area, and I saw many critters out there...skunks, coyotes, foxes, deer, and a mountain lion, once. Oh...and a UFO....but that's another story!

Happy Sunday to you, too, DT! And to Everyone!

Here is a nice site where you can check out paw prints of Mammals:

And "Animals and their Tracks":

Have fun and let us know if you could identify the paw print you found in your backyard.

Thanks, CK...my brother came over and looked at the tracks and says it looks like a very big dog track. There are no very big dogs in our neighborhood any more, so I am not convinced. After looking at the pix of the bobcats on the beartracker site, I still think that is what it looks more like...I am going to be very cautious about being out in the dark with my dog.

If a very big dog or a bobcat ~ I would definitely be very careful, especially at night.

After rain when the ground is soft, those paw prints of our dogs look enormous when they were running on our property.

You and your pooch take care. And keep us in the loop.

Hey Yiffer 8) :D

I don't know how close it is to the Green Turtle - this one is on Marathon Key at Mile Marker 61 or so.

Job searches are tough out there but I am hopeful to land something soon, I want out of my current organization so I can get my payout and pay off everything, maybe even my mortgage :P Let's hope and see.

Big news in KS...there is a missing woman in the county next to mine, and Tim Miller and Equusearch are there helping with the search. Body parts of the missing woman were recently found in a shallow grave, but not the entire body. Her ex is the prime suspect along with some of his friends/relatives. Creepy!
