I am looking around on the web for more information as I know nothing about offshore oil drilling.

It's difficult to comprehend the enormous quantities and measures.
That deep??

Hello Everyone!
Just a quick "Hello" ~ I made it back safely from Aruba. The flight to Atlanta was the scariest I was ever on! While landing, it seemed the airplane was shook by an invisible giant hand, all passengers were gasping and moaning. And when reaching the ground, it was a bumpy ride. But we made it! And everyone was applauding the captain and crew. :D

I had a wonderful time in Aruba! Meeting friends, meeting new people, attending several events or just walking on the beach, looking at the most incredible blue-turquoise colors of the ocean ~ I fully enjoyed every moment!

Once again, I had my little camera with me and took more than a thousand photos. We are still working putting them on links. This time, I will not post the links but if you are interested, please send me a PM.

I needed a few days to relax and reflect as I had the feeling, I was 'stuck' between two worlds! LOL There were so many impressions, so much excitement and surprises that when I returned home, it felt as if I had been gone a long time LOL Aruba was once again very special. :D

Hi YIF! And thanks. :fgift:

Pics will be on their way soon. :D

Oh, I also noticed that there were no 'body scanners', not on my hometown airport, or Houston, or Aruba, or Atlanta. In Atlanta was some kind of threat, alert was on 'orange' but other than the announcement, I did not notice further security measures.

Well, I hope you get some of that much needed rain. I'm good, thanks. Working hard and also watching NBA basketball playoffs. Please send my best regards to your wonderful husband.

No idea what is the joke is here but zoz = z.o.z. = zie ommezijde.

Means look at the other side. (Written on a piece of paper).

Hey BT, thanks for your post at the top of this page. It's amazing it goes that deep. I'd like to see more investment in renewable energy from the USA. Preferably from private capital. Of course, reducing consumption is huge too. But again, I'd prefer this come from individual choices rather than government mandates.

Just popping in to wish everyone a great weekend. It's finally dry here today, and very warm. Looks like more rain over the weekend. I feel like a mushroom!!

As you all know already, our infamous Senator Spector lost... and, although I wasn't crazy about his opponent, it's time for him to retire, and for us to have new blood. When he was District Attorney here in Philly, he was my husband's boss... I knew him "when." lol

.. that's interesting, Elaine. Yes, I think that Pennsylvania deserves some new blood. :) He is beyond his sell by date.

Glad to hear that all is well and that you are dry again. :)

Here is my contribution to figuring out the state of the economy.

Due to the economy, my summer job has been cancelled two summers in a row; lack of funding for education.

I have been applying for many jobs over the last couple of months, and I am repeatedly turned down for one reason: the fact that I am not available to work FULL time, since I already have two jobs with my regular employer during the school year.

Whatever happened to summer jobs?

Other than that, I am going to mow the lawn and get some tanning in while out there. We are having a mini heat wave in KS. 8)
